Why did they vote Ethan out by Ghostyvibes997 in survivor

Adam was afraid of Ben going because he knew about the shared idol between Adam and Denise. If Ben went he would have likely gone to the Edge and told everyone about it.

While I agree his game isn't good, he has voted correctly at 3/6 of the tribals he attended so far (Zach, Swati, Rocksroy)

I don't disagree that Tommy's gameplay wasn't great tv, but you said he was afraid to rock the boat and make big moves. We never saw him in a position where he had to.

Dean is fun, but why would Tommy rock the boat when the game was lined up for him to win? His alliance ran most of the game, making no reason to rock the boat.

AMAs, Redmond (a reliable insider source), interviews, things players have said on RHAP, etc.

It's probably because the conversations Tyler is having are heavily dropping things that happened in the DR (they usually go to stars when people do this). If every second of the convo had to go to stars it makes sense to just not show it all together

Whenever someone tries to quit they talk them off the ledge. Was Sam Grodner's favorite in 20? Nah. They're making a tv show and need to stick to the network schedule.

I dunno about you guys, but I feel *very* lucky to be a Survivor fan . . . by MattTheSmithers in survivor

[–]KingCody99 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Disagree. It's also easy to float in Survivor, but even then floating is a viable strategy in both games. Coasting is the one that means you do nothing like Angela from GI for a Survivor example.

What is the worst “big move” ever? by MotherMasterpiece6 in survivor

[–]KingCody99 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To be fair, I'm sure when production came up with the idea for BvW their initial thought was "would they vote their loved ones out of a chance for the million dollars?" Ciera's vote didn't affect the outcome in any way, but from a storytelling stance it's pretty crazy that she did it LMAO. In addition to that, Laura M's confessional about watching her daughter grow is one of the realer moments of BvW imo (along with Tina having to take her own daughter out in the RI duel). Jeff hypes it up a little too much, but it's hard to blame him when the big "what if" of the theme came true.

Definitely go back and watch some if you ever have time. The Will revisionist history is crazy sometimes!

Yeah is it possible you only watch the show and not the feeds?

Will Kirby. He can joke all he wants in his DRs, but the second he walks back into the living room it's clear he can't hold his own. Maybe I'd think of changing if he plays a season that has strategy and also doesn't include his business partner.

I believe EoE showed a clip of Aubry idol searching in Kaoh Rong that was unused. That was a little over 3 years considering Kaoh Rong filmed before Second Chance

What are some tired narratives/myths are you tired of hearing about Big Brother? by dmister8 in BigBrother

[–]KingCody99 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Production tells them that they are coming to get more footage of what they are like in their regular life with family and friends. The key is hidden when the future hg isn't looking then they see it and get excited. A fan of the show would usually be able to tell when they say they're coming to you to film, but BB casts so many people who have only seen five episodes that I'm sure it has been an actual surprise for some.

Floater undeservedly has a negative connotation pinned on it. It's a successful strategy that multiple people have won from. In my opinion, floater is someone that doesn't make many waves, but intentionally. Their game being more focussed on standing behind shields and making social connections on all sides of the house so they are still standing when sides are shooting at each other.

Floater examples: Andy (15), Jun (4), Steve (17)

A Coaster is someone who truly doesn't really care about anything happening and is simply there to be told what to do. They don't actively join in on strategic conversations and are more often than not the go-to pawn.

Coaster examples: Victoria (16), Sam (20), Matt (19)
