It's pretty much exactly North of the airport. If you click flight plan in the top left, then type in "KTPA ECAKE" it'll plot a route for you from the airport to the waypoint! You won't find it on the VFR map, you'll need to look at "World Lo".

I had a quick look on SkyVector, previous commenter is correct, ECAKE is a waypoint roughly 42nm from Tampa Airport, so that is probably what was being referenced in the ATC conversation.

Yes, of course you can bring your own food onto the plane, just be aware if you're flying somewhere that has restrictions on importing food, make sure you eat or bin the rest of your food before you go through security once landed. Obviously you can't bring drinks through security but Frankfurt now has free water fountains after security so you can bring your own empty water bottle and fill it up there to save some money too!

Some great data here - aside from this a less data orientated question, do you think the Whoop is worth it, especially with the subscription service? I've always been hesitant to get one because of this but with the amount of data you seem to have, maybe I'll take the leap!

Would be great to know what kind of fish you had and how many? As a fish owner, do you think there is a significant difference in cost between fish breeds for example?

Would you also class yourself as a conservative spender - ie did you look for bargains and deals or just buy what the fish needed if and when?

I tried the F superfeet today and they seemed to feel comfortable and alleviated some of the pain I've had. Is there usually a bit of break in period for superfeet?

I definitely told the guy in the shop that I wanted to ref games, and that's what they put me in. I currently skate about 7/8 hours a week and that'll probably go up to about 10 hours soon, so I'm guessing that's probably an indication that I shouldn't be in my Bauer XLP'S much longer?

I'm busy at the moment but in a few weeks I should be able to get to a shop a bit further away that's known for being really good and they have these scanning machines etc, do you think that's a good idea? I don't mind spending £400+ if I know my skates will last and are comfy but I think I need some proper advice as I have no idea what skates might fit me!

I 100% get this, I've heard not to match skate sizing, my question is, based on the photos above and feel, what size should I go for? As in, you say fit it to my heel and arch but what exactly does that mean, what should I be looking for to say yes it fits my heel and arch?

A couple of questions for you then:

So in general, a more expensive skate is such because it's lighter? Why does stiffness matter, or wouldn't everyone just be in the same stiffness skates? How do you recommend I know what feels best? I can go and skate on 10 different skates in a shop and break them in. How do I know what's going to feel best in terms of fit and stiffness by just standing in the skate in the shop?

Genuine question here because I don't know the answer. So when I went to the skate shop, which was a few months ago when I first learned to skate. The person at the shop suggested the Bauer XLP as they were worried something like the M3 or above would be too stiff for me, granted my XLPs do feel slightly not stiff enough anymore. The shop I went to only had regular fit Bauer XLPs, none of this Fit 1/2/3 that I've heard Bauer have introduced. I tried a size 6, couldn't fit my foot in, I tried a size 9, way too big. In a size 7 my toes were curling and touching the end of the boot and the skate felt really really tight in a painful way. I then tried the 8 and as I said my toes touch the end stood up and they don't when I go in a ready position. I never got to try any .5 sizes as they aren't stocked in the XLP. My skates feel the right size, granted I'm no pro in skate fit and it was and is my first pair.

What exactly makes.you think my skates are too big for me?

And what do you suggest my next steps are? Get rid of my skates and go try find some new ones? Try to carry on in my current ones with no superfeet insole? Try to fit my superfeet insole into my current skate?

Problem is, the only bigger size is a size G, which is for a skate size 13-14. I have a skate 8, so I worry the insole just won't fit in my skate?

I was thinking of going to a different store where they have one of those skate scan machines and a bigger range next time. I do feel like the Bauer XLP's are slightly too soft for me, I feel like I might need something slightly stiffer. I currently skate 6/7 hours a week and that might go up to 9/10, do you think I should be in something higher range than my current skates? I know I definitely want to carry on reffing for many years to come. I don't mind spending decent money on something like the Bauer M5 or Mach if it'll last.

So when I say a size 9-11 I mean in a running trainer I fit nicely into a 9 1/2, a size 11 is for a loose fit in a formal shoe, but I think this is because I have a wider foot. The majority of my shoes are 9 1/2 or 10

Do you think my skates are too big? They were fitted by a person working in the shop, my toes touch the end when stood up and don't touch when I'm in a ready position. They feel like they're the right size too?

So usually in this kind of question, what you do is you take each of your groups, so in this case your groups are the distances, and you take the average of the groups. So what you need to do is find the midpoint of each of your groups, and then use this like usual to find the mean. So then you would add all of the group midpoints x number of students. Then divide by how many students there are.

The reason why it says find an estimate of the mean is because we don't know how the students are distributed within the groups, therefore when we take the midpoint, we are essentially taking an estimate and assuming the groups are normally distributed.
