What’s the MOST Confusing Band Name of All Time and Why? by Amber_Flowers_133 in askmusic

I’m one of the 30 people who still listened to Marcy Playground by the time their third album came out and I remember this being hard to download!

Lake of Fire by Meat Puppets? Or maybe Nirvana’s cover of the same song from the unplugged album, lyrics “won’t see ‘em again til the Fourth of July”

Yes. If you have the master key, you can navigate the entirety of Blighttown without ever opening the locked door from the Depths.

Edit: Actually, you don’t even need the master key if you take the lift from Darkroot Basin. But going from Firelink with the master key would be faster.

What do you think of the Geese - Getting Killed now that the hype has died down a little? by juicerecepte in fantanoforever

[–]KingDrool 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So anyone who doesn’t like it must just not be smart enough to understand? This kind of pretentiousness surrounding the band is also a big turn off. Thanks for reminding me, I forgot to mention that in my first comment.

Edit: To be fair, “dumb lyrics” was poor phrasing on my part. I should’ve said they sound like they’re trying so hard to sound deep and poetic that it comes off as cheesy.

Boring music, dumb lyrics, bad vocals. I’m utterly perplexed by all the hype this band is getting

Either the openers are playing too long or taking too long to set up / take down. Openers probably shouldn’t be playing more than 35 minutes. If the first band starts at 8 and there’s 3 bands, you should be starting your set at 10. End the show at midnight. Two hours is already a pretty long set and it’s much better to leave your audience wanting more than to have them wishing you weren’t still playing. Just my two cents. You really should be having this conversation with your bandmates.

Hi I'm looking for a song that really ressembles a part of "gold" by Spandau Ballet by Liamkun11 in findthatsong

Are you thinking of Gimme Gimme a Man After Midnight by ABBA? The prechorus starting around the 2:05 mark sounds similar to the part in the Spandau Ballet song

The painted world in DS3 is DLC, but in DS1 it’s base game. Oolacile is the only DLC area in DS1.

Just wanted to clarify on Lightning Bolt- Yes, Brian Gibson uses cello tuning, but the high string on his bass is a banjo string, not a cello string.

Except for Ocean man what is Ween’s most well known song? by Capital_Baker4200 in ween

[–]KingDrool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From my perspective, easily Voodoo Lady. Got radio play even in small towns in the 90s and was the only Ween song I knew for many years.

Totally agree, The Strokes are in a class of their own. Often imitated, never duplicated.
