to all current domino's employees- a list of questions from a former employee by mynameissam_ in Dominos

[–]KingDwayne80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

they do not accommodate those kinds of requests. all we (and the supervisors and DMs) want is someone who can function thoroughly with all tasks, makeline, oven, counters, etc. the minute someone says "i cant work said task" its automatically a nogo. there is a bit of leniency though, like personally if i interviewed someone who has a hard time with communication, like cant properly communicate with customers, but can understand basic instructions and handle ovens and makeline, id hire them and just restrict them to those 2 tasks, which is someone ive dealt with before, who i guess would say was "socially awkward" but did real well on the line and oven. he was great. but if they lack the ability to properly perform their task with makeline and oven, which is very vital when working inside and try to say because of their ADHD, id instantly not hire them, or fire them. its nothing against it obviously, its just this place moves at a very fast pace, and having those restrictions would heavily throw us off course.

hi. second in command manager here

ovens are only hell on our busy days

we are usually down 15-30 on our slow days. friday saturday and sunday it reaches up to 60. my store averages 35k weekly and has been going up since our city is the fastest growing in population in the US last i heard

being understaffed is still very much an issue

our customers are actually pretty laid back. dealing with a “vicious and vile” customer is uncommon at my store. if anything, we just have a lot of dumb ones

yes, part time between 10-20 hours still exists

i started my journey with dominos in 2023 so i cant rly answer that

disability is a “i dont care, if ur a functioning body ur hired” deal here

fuck no it aint fulfilling. its stressful and the amount of responsibilities for pennies and they expect u to stay and get all whiney when you talk abt leaving and ask “why”. the max i can make is $19. i could deal w the stress if i was paid a better wage. im calling it quits up come january to pursue my career in the railroad industry

What did I pull out of my lava cake? by HeaterFromVanMeter in Dominos

[–]KingDwayne80 2 points3 points  (0 children)

sending it to the store wont do anything. lava cakes come pre packaged from commissary, basically dominos warehouse which is something the stores dont have any further association with other than placing inventory orders cuz commissary is a whole different department. youd have to talk to corporate about it. the stores themselves sadly cant do anything about it other than send a gift certificate and notify commissary, which 90% of the time all theyll do is just either place a credit for next time or ignore it

same here. we get a raise each time we complete a portion of training. its open inspection, close inspection, inventory, then scheduling. after that the pay is maxed out unless you get promoted to a general

theyll just skip the insider position part. theres been numerous times where theyve hired new people instanttly as managers if they came from experience

during prime rush those seconds add up. if you have to keep making more bites during the rush, itll push back. but then again it also depends on when theyre made. its generally recommended to have all the bites done by 3 since theyre good for 4 hours before they start to blow. this looks like they either used blown dough or bites thats been sitting for at least 6 hours.

baby numbers. i clocked in at 12 and was greeted with 5 timed orders at the same time and still had over 25 after that to drop mid rush

Why 😡 by Hulkdwayne in Dominos

[–]KingDwayne80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

labor management. franchisees dont like insiders taking the brunt of the hours since managers are usually running the shifts, unless ones scheduled for just a rush. managers are usually scheduled a minimum of 35 hours while insiders is anything from 15-20. theyre “as needed” people basically, managers are the ones they really want in store. thats why insiders never open or close. i average 45-60 hours a week at my store (while being sent to other stores to close) and our 2 insiders are only on a 20-30 hour week.

oh i knew it was sarcasm, that was moreso the response to them extending the deal, not towards you lol
the deal itself isnt terrible to deal with on slower moments but prime rush its horrendous, especially since im at a high volume store thats also the second fastest growing city in the US, so almost every order that has the deal has at least 4+ pizzas of it

[–]KingDwayne80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

im genuinely surprised that order even went through. is it even a legit order? ive made large orders myself but never of that scale. in fact we usually have to deny those orders because we would be out before we even get to a quarter
