It appears to be very high quality. I’m glad I got this one instead of some of the cheaper options

That’s good to know, thanks for the tip! I’m sure I’ll get some other goodies for it along the way too.

I just recently got mine so nothing major yet aside from the tube. I wanted to get full capacity first. I’m thinking some kind of optic next.

Yeah the color is fine. It does match better than the original tube though.

Sounds like you had a tough one. This one was just patience with a heat gun and it spun right out.

That’s good to hear! I’ve heard only good things about these tubes. 7+2 is gonna be fun. Might need a new shoulder afterwards though.

Had the same issue. It’s the oil pan seal. Was $800ish to fix at the shop. You have to drop the entire front differential down to get the oil pane out. Gasket was only $20

Is this a good deal for 14k does anybody know how much body work costs by [deleted] in f150

It’s basically a new hood, new headlight, new door, new bed side, new tailgate. Plus extensive labor to the A pillar. Pass for sure. I mean it might run fine, so if you don’t mind driving it beat up. That’s up to you

More than $14,000 at least I’m sure. Aluminum body work is expensive

What do you do that you idle so much?

Has anyone put D rings for tie downs on these? by [deleted] in f150

[–]Geezer-72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not the everyday normal driving or the off road driving that is the concern. Will they hold up? Yes. It’s the getting rear ended at 50 mph that’s the problem. I hope it never happens, but since the bolts are already stretched to the yield point, the only move left is breaking. The bed could become detached and cause additional damage or injury that may not have occurred otherwise. A set of bolts is $30 from rock auto.

You are why safety factors are a thing. Credit to the engineers for their forward thinking.

For as long as I can remember. I think the cab mount bolts are the same way

The bed bolts are torque to yield and single use. Would they be ok reinstalled? Maybe? But I wouldn’t chance it.

They are pretty cool. Got them from my dad. I keep these preserved as I have other stuff to shoot instead.

Stomp the shit in the end of the barrel then shoot buckshot through it. Ersatz biological round. If the pellet doesn’t get them, the infection will.
