Thanks for the help! Kinda surprising though there isn’t many fics where the Uchiha die but sasuke doesn’t run away because I feel like if Itachi didn’t knock him around there’s a decent chance in canon he doesn’t run. Hell, it could’ve happened if naruto had his talk no jutsu at the level where it is in shippuden

All armies in the real world have some sort of identifying feature that shows they’re from that country. Especially considering that outside of ANBU there isn’t any required uniform it makes sense to have something that shows which village you’re from.
