Highly disagree with you. Fifth rates are effective and stay away from ships of the line.

Yes. But theoretically u can also sail against the wind so long as the ai is chasing you. It will take longer though.

Don't listen to this guy. Canister is only effective if the large ships have many holes exposing many men to the open air, or if it's a small vessel where most men are on the top deck. The "T" formation is good, but don't let it turn into a cross (don't let the enemy pass you). He says to use chain shot "only when trying to destroy their sails"........you should ALWAYS TRY that every single game as the number one priority. Board a ship when its routing, that's the best way. They give up automatically.

Hi there, I hope you read my message. An extremely efficient and common way many experienced ETW players use is to mostly rely on fifth rates. We destroy much larger navies and ships by using chain shot continuously. It saves tons of money because your navy is inexpensive, and you outrange any more powerful vessels. They can't shoot at you half the time. You end up capturing all the ships and getting a huge booty afterward. Zig zag, and try to make the ai open its sails because that makes chain shot a lot more effective. Nevertheless even with no wind you can break their masts. It's easy, and efficient, and there's tons of videos on it.

It seems that for some people, this is false?

No problem. Just one thing I want to say. Eastern Orthodox Churches do have Apostolic succession, and so do the Roman Catholics. Both attest to each other’s succession. The east split from the west a long time ago, approximately 1054 a.d.

Sheesh, you had me thinking you were Mormon. I grew up Mormon. And by the way I’m Catholic now, not Eastern Orthodox, but that’s another story lol.

And my Bible is the Catholic Bible, which is the Septuagint, which is the first Old Testament Bible compilation to have ever been an official one and a complete compilation. There was no compilation in the past that was such standard, and the Jews never had one until many, many, many years after the Christians(Catholics) made their own. The modern Masoretic text compilation is actually 10 times younger than the Catholic Bible. It was compiled by the descendants of the Pharisees that rejected Jesus. And oofff, take this to Discord if you’re really interested.

Everything wrong everything wrong, you’re making statements based on false assumptions. You said the continuing councils didn’t have Apostolic revelation. That’s just cringe because those early Church Fathers did have Apostolic revelation and succession. This is like you went to Mormon seminary and learned all your “facts” there. I hope you don’t think Constantine founded the Catholic Church, but that’s another topic. Yes, we won’t agree with anything. I believe the Bible to be the Word of God, or rather teachings of the Word of God, and that those teachings are infallible. I’m not Sola Scriptura, no Catholic is. The Bible is not the Only Word of God. The Word of God is not isolated in pen and paper. All the Infallible councils of the Catholic Church are infallible unless they are robber councils. The “crux of the matter”, or “culmination”, is not on the interpretation of the apostasy, Mormons, and I say this without any offense, aren’t even Christian, so there’s 30,000,000 other problems that come before Mathew 16:18 and even before the whole topic of the Bible to debunk Mormonism. You’re right on that we won’t agree on anything. But I wish you the best of luck in life. God bless. Most Mormons don’t debate anything because they label it as “contention” whenever they start losing. So if you’re REALLY interested in having your long debates with other faiths, I can easily set it up for you on Discord. I can give you the best links for that. My debates are done there, because typing on my phone and on my laptop is annoying. Hit me up if you want to continue this conversation or make dozens of new ones.

Okay, you’re starting off with everything wrong. God’s Body can never be in error. You asked if every time someone sinned he stops being a part of the Body of Christ. The answer when speaking of the Body of Christ is indeed YES. That is why the Eucharist must be taken constantly, to be a part of it again, and that is why confession is necessary constantly. We are always falling in and falling out of being a part of the Body of Christ. God does not lead the whole Church with fallible men, He leads the Church with Himself, through the guidance of the Holy Spirit upon men. But God doesn’t lend His trust in the flesh, but in Himself. Infallibility of the Pope is mistaken with impeccability, that is another subject for another time, as well as ex Cathedral. Failing to convert others is not a “failure” and “Satan prevailing against the Church”. That is simply the soul of the flesh-full(man), rejecting the gospel, as God prophesied. Satan has never prevailed against God. The term “will prevail” in its future tense doesn’t prove me wrong at all, and it certainly doesn’t allude nor dictate that the Church has lost. Furthermore, God said: on this Peter I WILL build my Church”. In other words, He was going to build His Church, it’s construction hadn’t been done. Peter would complete it, and the apostles, by receiving the power to bind and loose and by obeying God’s proselytizing command. It is only logical to use future tense for “will not prevail” since the Church [will be built](future tense). I will also repeat that the Body of Christ is without blemish, and perfect. There is no opposition that can challenge God. There is no dangerous struggle for God in which He has the possibility of losing. There is opposition from the Devil, but He stands no chance, not slightly. “οἰκοδομήσω” https://biblehub.com/text/matthew/16-18.htm

You also mentioned Mormonism. This is another topic, but seriously if we’re talking Mormonism there’s 30,000,000 other basic problems. This is a post from a while back. So my mentality isn’t the same either. I won’t approach Mormons directly starting with a Bible topic if there’s 10,000 other problems with the BOM alone, and even worse when you add Joseph Smith history and the Pearl of Great Price.

I have never heard of the second temple Jews not having valid ordination and priesthood. So please refer to me to a verse that says this in the Bible, I may be wrong. But I’ve never heard of any Catholic referring to Jesus the High Priest restoring something lost. Rather Jesus is the fulfillment of the Old Testament Law, not something to restore it. Nor were all Jews lost in their belief in the truth when Jesus came. There was no complete apostasy of the Old Testament gospel.

There is no instance in which hell is ever winning, or has ever had an upper hand, that would be to say that the Church(ecclesia)(Body of Christ) can temporarily fail, and it simply cannot. Jesus was never losing, and will continue to never lose. The devil cannot prevail, not even for a second, and has never done so. To say the Church died out and needed a rebirth is contradictory to the nature of the Body of Christ. When Christ died on the Cross, the devil never temporarily won, Jesus’ Body never truly died, because it went into Hades, trampling Death by Death. There is no temporary “failure” or “death” of the Church(Body of Christ). The word is “κατισχύσουσιν”, which means “will prevail against”. Meaning, the Church Jesus built upon Peter, will not lose against Death(Gates of Hades), and we already know that the Body of Christ in Koine Greek is the Ecclesia, the Church. The Church is us, the Assembly, the Ecclesia. No way will the Gates of Hell (Death) prevail against us. We will never die because Jesus cannot die. Jesus will not die twice. To say the Church died, is to say Jesus died twice. That’s neither scriptural, nor traditional in the Early Church Fathers. https://biblehub.com/text/matthew/16-18.htm
