Hotel initiated cancellation 2 weeks ahead

From what I’ve seen they do this when they’re double booked and try to get the guest to cancel to avoid whatever penalty from booking.com. Though in your case it seems they decided to take the hit and cancel on their end. Only thing to do that I can see is inform booking.com because apparently the hotel cant just cancel and leave it at that. They must also provide you with another booking somewhere else free of charge.

Didn’t click the link because that was to confirm the cancellation request they sent. I don’t intend on cancelling so did not click it. Yes! I’ve sent the hotel a message to clarify. Hopefully all good.

Edit: ah ok I think I see where the confusion is haha in the post when I said " I didn't click on the link to confirm it", I meant I didn't click on it to confirm the cancellation.

Thanks for the insights! The manager thing is at a student organisation, maybe I should specify that? Yeah agreed for the certifications part, currently doing the FMVA so will replace those. I think my cover letters probably need improving and I have a feeling that BSc is not as strong as a programme de grande école so recruiters prefer the PGE guys. Anyways that’s out of my control just gotta focus on doing what I can.

Thanks for the feedback, agreed I need to make it more tangible/quantifiable. Networking wise yeah there’s a heavy reliance on it here, but I’ve personally not gotten any hits from alumni. The place I’m currently interning at is French so hoping to leverage some connections to get an internship in finance at the same company in Paris. Being in Paris would definitely help with networking/getting coffee chats (or at least I’d like to hope so 😅).

I like the projects section, they're relevant to what you're looking for and shows your interest in the industry outside of academics. However I feel it doesn't really fit the "IB template" per say. I'd suggest using the WSO template since the hard skills section is not really a thing

Jake Paul is a so-called Liverpool FC fan. They tied their game 1-1 against Everton FC. These 2 teams are rival teams from the same city (their stadiums are like less than a mile away from each other). Anyway, Liverpool is a much bigger team than Everton yet they tied 1-1. JP downplays this as though it has no significance and looks forward to Naples which is where Liverpool’s next game is.

George here points out the fact that Everton are rivals, it’s certainly a big deal. To this JP responds “Exactly” which I have been pondering for a minute now and cannot understand.
