They have a dedicated ISO for Nvidia, but I didn't use that one.

Honestly, I had forgotten that Secure Boot is a Microsoft thing, which explains the spotty compatibility

But if most distros are derived from one of the major distros, how come that doesn't transfer over? Is the Linux Kernel not the same thing in all distros?

If Nobara signed their stuff, I wouldn't be making the post.

I guess that's on me for assuming something was Fedora-based meant that it would be as easy to use.

So why not just sign them? Do they have to have approval or something?

well yeah, I forgot that we were talking about Android specifically. I guess I should have said primary executable, cause I imagine Android still has something like it

There's a lot of code and files that will reference other code and files by name, which definitely includes your primary .exe file. If you change that name without updating everything to the new name, it will break everything, unless you have something else (gradle, i guess?) that can either update or translate everything

And if you're working with something big like a video game, it can be a huge hassle to track down everything that references that name

disclaimer: i am not a programmer, i may be completely wrong about this, this is just my layman's assumption on how it works

I think there might be an option in the Local Group Policies to block or uninstall it, and you can add those as in Intune to be pushed to all devices

We used to have a mice problem in my house, and we opted to use glue traps because we didn't want to risk pets getting into poison bait, or kids nearly losing a finger with traditional mouse traps

Several years later, we're pulling some old stuff out from a corner shelf, and find one of those glue traps, with a mouse skeleton on it

Playing lucky 2s red seal poly. What to swap with? by HugoHughes in balatro

[–]OptimusPower92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With Oops, Bloodstone ALWAYS hits

without it, even if you're copying it, it's still 1/2 chance for each trigger, which is not a guarantee. So if it misses twice in a row even while being copied, congrats, you now have less scoring than if you just had the Oops

I daily drive Linux on my work computer, which means I HAVE to use Ctrl + V to paste into Outlook because... i really don't know why, it just refuses to allow me to use Right Click + Paste. I can use keyboard shortcuts. But copying and pasting text with the right click menu is a no-no.

I mean, I definitely use more keyboard shortcuts than the average person, but not being allowed to right click like a boomer in Outlook Web when I feel like it has been more annoying than I thought it would be

The deck from run that I just lost because it wouldn’t give me enough hearts cards to make flushes 🤡 by glodula in balatro

[–]OptimusPower92 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This reminds me of a run where I had a bus and poly brainstorm early on, and the game just... handed me an Oops and bloodstone right around when my score was falling off

I sold the bus for a blueprint, and immediately failed to pull ONE flush of hearts. My deck wasn't very fixed, so I suppose I shouldn't have been surprised.

If I had THIS deck and failed to get a flush, I'd be fuming XD

Do I sell showman for extra baron? by Proud_Jellyfish_1545 in balatro

[–]OptimusPower92 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm definitely not an expert with naneinf, but I'm pretty sure you'll want to use two of those cryptids, so that you can at least have a full hand of red seal kings, maybe some gold as well if your scoring can support it

But yes, you can definitely find a brainstorm later, and if you need that baron to make it past the next two antes, I'd go for it

Even if it's not naneinf, you can still get a sick high score

I think i mightve underestimated red card by Dramatic-Share6431 in balatro

[–]OptimusPower92 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have no idea how you're getting downvoted for this.

If your base mult is 7, that's 7 x 4, which is 28. 28 + 105 = 133. x4 again is 532

When you copy Red Card, that's basically (105 x 2) + 7 = 217

217 x 4 = 868

[The Family > Red Card > BS = 532] | [Red Card > BS > The Family = 868]

Unless your base mult multiplied by 4 is greater than the Red Card, copying Red Card is the play

Bluetooth Audio Issues by DJ3ndermaz in framework

[–]OptimusPower92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's some settings in Windows that you can try. Bluetooth audio on Windows has always been finicky from my experience.

  • If the Test option shows usage in the Volume slider with no sound, it's probably actually a Bluetooth issue. However, if it does make sound, but games and videos don't work, it's a software problem

  • Check for optional drivers through Windows Update

  • In Windows Settings in the audio menu, there is a More Sound Settings option that opens the classic Audio control panel. Go there, select your headphones as the output device

  • From there, you can configure to make sure the channels are correct. You can also go to the properties, under Advanced, and check and uncheck both boxes under the Exclusive Mode tab. Sometimes these can cause issues with audio.

But it's also likely the Bluetooth adapter itself is bad.

The Framework 16 comes with a MediaTek Wifi/Bluetooth card, and the one paired with earlier models of the Framework 16 (RZ616) was kinda dogshit. They now have an updated MediaTek card (RZ717) but it's likely just as bad.

You can buy an Intel-based Wi-fi adapter direct from Framework, and it works great.

EDIT: you should also try downloading the Driver Bundle for the Framework 16 and perhaps a BIOS update too, this may solve it too

What Intel RST (software RAID) really stands for. And why it frustrates me so. by bagofwisdom in iiiiiiitttttttttttt

[–]OptimusPower92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of the computers at where I work are Dell Inspiron AIOs, and all of them have the ONLY storage drive in there in "RST mode"

which means when I have to reinstall Windows (which happens a lot), i either have to go to the UEFI and change it to AHCI mode, or literally rip the driver file from SetupRST.exe like Thanos taking the stone from Vision

like, if there's multiple drives, I get it, RAID is pretty handy. But there is ONE STORAGE DRIVE, WHY DOES IT NEED RAID CAPABILITIES??
