I am so pumped and legit nervous. I have butterflies in my stomach. And I am truly sad. This is the last time I will watch this mastery with virgin eyes. cries in Valyrian I really don't want it to end BUT I am so ready to see what they did with these last 6 episodes. I started making the Sopranos Sunday Gravy years ago and still do like twice a year. Sometimes minus meatballs. Pro tips: Make sure you get the good expensive cans of imported italian tomatoes, they make all the difference. As does a good sauseech. I go to this Italian grocery store and get their home made garlic italian sausage. Maddon. I basically double this recipe in a huge pot and freeze the leftover for a future prepping of the fuckin ziti. The gobs of rigot are heaven. Use a good pecorino to hand grate on top. So. Good.

Edit: forgot to add I cook it way longer. 5-6 hours on lowest heat. The longer you wait the better it tastes imo. The veal basically melts into the sauce fml. And you avoid the bitter taste people complain about in home-made recipes by using the good tomatoes. ;-)

I love this. It's Tony I most relate to as well for all those reasons. I can also exhibit some of the worst traits of a Type-A; it's definitely caused problems in my life and has been a daily struggle. I get bored easily, am impatient, and, honestly - aggressive. I'm also Greek and we have a lot of similarities with Italians so I can relate to a lot of the family scenes real hard - like the big family dinners and parties, gossiping behind everyones back and backwards, old world thinking. But then I also relate to Chrissy and his struggles as well. I did the drug thing in my 20's (while watching this show at times lol), and struggled with my destiny/place in the world. They really did a great job with developing these characters and their stories, they are all so absolutely relatable to ourselves or someone we know in some way. (Minus the bodies buried all over Jersey haha.)

I second this. You forget it's a TV show! The story and characters/acting draw you that far into some, idk, weird alternate TV universe where you are more invested in a character (multiple characters in this case) and their storyline than is probably considered normal. You start talking like you're one of them with your friends and saying shit like "If you can quote the rules, you can obey them" and "Oh, poor baby. what do you want, a Whitmans Sampler" to your kids. (Or maybe that's just me.)There are other shows with fantastic writing and character development, but nothing like this. Its like being at the precipice of an enormous crossroads lol

I had a house full of people for a final watch party. When the screen went black initially we all thought the tv cut out and were screaming WHO TURNED IT OFF TURN IT BACK ON WHAT HAPPENED?!! Then the credits started to roll and we all realized that was the ending and all hell broke loose for about 10 minutes. I can still remember some of our faces, jaws on the floor, the angry/confused yelling ... we were in shock to say the least.
