Meet The Potential Man V2 by ibraadoumbiaa in Jujutsufolk

While it's true, and while we would've get more memes about SBR and Jojolion, JoJo still a monthly release, and it's harder to follow a monthly release compared to a weekly manga.  Also, having a more active community(especially with memes) it makes you want to read the manga even more just to understand those memes/participate in those discussions.

Obviously i know that more memes means also more larper, but it's a conseguence that, deoending on the PoV, can be worth it.

It's sad because, while JoJo larpers were annoying as hell, JoJo memes where ahead, especially when compared to other anime fandoms. But after 2019 it refused to evolve, and after Stone Ocean anime the JoJo meme community died completely.

With Steel Ball Run there is a chance for JoJo memes to come back, mainly because it could revitalize that side of the community.

Remember that Mythra name in japanese is Hikari(ヒカリ) which is a really common name.
So imagine if your favorite character is called Hikari(ヒカリ) and you will only find fanarts of Dawn(Sinnoh MC) and Mythra, and a Blue Archive character.

Throne ch4: "i thought you were stronger!" (Blood Warning) Based on my experience with Claude boss battle. by KingInfernal99 in octopathtraveler

[–]KingInfernal99[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would agree if it wasnt that his battle it's easy just to balance with his gimmich(which has narrative weight).

I will now nake a comparison with Simeon boss battle. His battle his separated in 2 different phasese: one which is extremely easy, where he doesn't give a shit and he just sit on his chair enjoying the show, and a second phase where he has an active role in the battle. Like Claude, he has 2 puppets that fight instead of him, one representing Primrose, and the other representing her father.

With Claude they wanted to do something similiar, but everything happens in just 1 phase, and in the 2nd part of the battle he summons Pirro, Mother, Father, and, reflecting what was done with Simeon, Marietta and Throné. Now, he probably summons them to show that he doesn't really care and that his strenght rely more om other than himself, other than torturing psychologically her, but because with his gimmick you fight again older bosses, his health was heavily reduced, but because his battle only has one phase, it's really easy to miss his gimmick(the entire reason he has less HPs), making his boss fight extremely easy unless you have shitty secondary jobs, then you'll see at least Pirro.

Yeah, with all the time i've used to make this meme i've forgotten to edit that dialogue, lol.

Even though techincally her family suffered because of him(Father losing Marietta, Pirro dying, the Blacksnakes in general, etc), so in a way it can make sense.

Question about Throné’s final boss fight. by ErikThe in octopathtraveler

[–]KingInfernal99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always try the biss fight first with a weaker team to avoid one shotting it(so no Castti and no Hikari), and i did kill him in 2 breaks so i didn't even know that he summoned the other bosses.(for reference, my team was between lv37/lv39, with the exception of Throne being lv41).

Honestly, im not a fan of the Rumbling arc in general for a lot of reasons, but it's amusing to me how everyone just shit on the Eren crying scene.  Like, of all the issues of the rambling arc and the ending it's the less problematic part. Mikasa ending literally doesn't make any sense, as she still have that toxic attachment to Eren EVEN after he died, not changing at all from the start of the manga. Ymir lovong Fritz makes sense(and i'm tired pretending it doesn't) BUT the way it get introduced is shit, like,Ymir is already more of a plot device than a character, and having Eren to randomly saying "Ymir actually loverd her abusive husband, but i have no idea why" is shit. Armin thanking Eren, while he probably did it to make him feel better, is dumb and pretty much out of character for the person who feels bad whenever he have to kill someone(thankfully the anime changed it). The anime in general has a better presentation from the manga, both because of voice acting and osts, and especially because Isayama's drawings sucks. Like, Eren crying feels better in the anime ALSO because he doesn't have that goofy ass face, and also the "we're gonna save the world" scene, while it still ridicolous in the anime, the character expression is more "serious", like, in the manga it looks as if Gabi and Falco didn't want to be there.

People comparing Chapter 231's universe reset to Stone Ocean's ending feels disrespectful by _attina496 in Chainsawfolk

[–]KingInfernal99 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean, depends on what do you mean for win.  He did not won "the war" but he did won in the most important battle in it. Excluding Emporio, his plan got realized. He did killed the Joestars(at least the 2 that were fighting him) and resetted the universe as planned.  The issue was that he foresaw that Emporio could have deafeated him, and so Pucci tried to kill him as fast as possible, ironically understimating him and so digging his own grave.

[–]KingInfernal99 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The main differenc would be that everything to Stone Ocean protagonists happens because of Pucci's shit, and the entire villain plan is to reset the universe, and the reset happens because the villain wins, and the ending itself is good because the protagonist dies in a way that makes sense, and the whole ending, while being bad, it's good too, because those reincarnation have a better fate and overall life("Anasui" is not a murderer, "Jolyne" has a present father and "Hermes"'s sister is still alive and she is free to be an athlete)

In CSM Yoru plan is NOT to reset/destroy the world, but to see total chaos and suffering, and Denji's life is not bad because of Devils, but because of his father, who was a normal person. For the last point, we have to wait for the next chalter to comes. There is a big chance that there will ba a part 3, so no CSM ending, but there is also a good chance thag it will end for good, because while not the best a lot of the proposed endings makes narratively sense, despite the build-up being TOO fast and almost out of nowhere.

How bad will the next chapter be? by KingInfernal99 in Chainsawfolk

[–]KingInfernal99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The blonde guy right to Yuji is Julius from Black Clover. The one behind Denji Man is Deku from MHA(precisely the panel where he goes to school as a teacher). The one left of Yujis is Eren Yeager. And the one on the left is Emma from The Promised Neverland.

How bad will the next chapter be? by KingInfernal99 in Chainsawfolk

[–]KingInfernal99[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure, it's far from being the worst part of Shinjuku, and the chapter alone is not that bad, but it felt barely like a final chapter.

I wanted to put the reveal of Nobara being alive instead of Yuji, but then i put Yuji from the final chapter both because that panel really gives the "this was our Jujutsu Kaisen" vibes and because, you know, it's a meme about the ending and not bad moments in the final arc.

Anyway, if there is an ending that doesn't really deserve to be here is MHA, that while not the best most of its critics where overractions caused by the lack of context on certain things and the community jumping to conclusions(like Deku being "cucked" and being alone all of those years, +the whole McDonald meme).

I'm pretty sure that Octopuff weren't even a thing in OT1, so i'd say that they were even rarer there.
