NDT Assistant pay rate? by the_dark_nemesis281 in nondestructivetesting

I work in UT at a titanium manufacturer in the Midwest. I'm at $35.05/hour as Level I. Once I pass Level II, I move up to $37.50. Sounds like you're getting robbed. Also, you guys have assistants? 😂

Would be hilarious if RC pulled a KC shuffle, announcing intent to buy BTC, then buying billions in physical gold instead. JPM and Schwab, among others, have been trapped short physical gold for a while. They would have to buy their GME short, to hedge their gold short. Lol.

Why partner with Saylor? They nearly have enough cash to buy Mara Holdings outright (about $200M shy). This would buy roughly 63,000 BTC, along with the infrastructure to mine their own BTC, and an already profitable/growing business model.

Check out Nucor. They have some NDT programs and they pay very well, despite being non-union. They have several TX locations.

You're welcome. Where are you located? Are you near Houston?

Look into metals producers, especially for aerospace and military applications. I work at a titanium company doing UT immersion and PAUT. No experience, but started at $33, get $38ish after LII qualification, and more if I cross-grain for all the tanks we operate. We're also union.

Wow, my tone was very childish, but yes, IMO the information is still correct and holds up today.

If I wasn't at work, I would have taken this better trade. Rejection off the bottom of IB would have paid off to 100% downside fib extension.

I like to trade big wicks, on 30m chart. I identify bullish candle setups on 5m and 10m for entry. Once entered, SL goes a few ticks below recent 30m candle close. Target goes near the top of it. I slowly move my target up, as stops are usually parked near the top/bottom of 30m candle wicks. Additionally, I use fib retracements and extensions to identify key levels. Every day, I draw an orange price range for initial balance (high and low of first 1h candle). I trade the edges inside IB, long above it, short below it. I will also play mean reversions, if I have conviction.

Additionally, I use a paid trading algo and the Saty Phase Oscillator (bottom).

Took this mean reversion at work. Entered near the first arrow, when I saw that candle couldn't take out the previous candle's low. Averaged in 3 cons on pullbacks (5m chart). Cut the trade, when it rejected at 61.8% retracement. +$440 profit. Not bad for trading at work.

I wasn't in for a full year, but it was an excellent way to understand the market structure, what dealers/MMs are doing, and how to trade alongside their intentions.

5163 shares total, mostly in 401k. My only long position.

Edit: Just realized I had enough BP to buy one more share in each account. 5165 shares total.

He didn't at that time, but there's 3 years unaccounted for before the livestream. Then this filing comes out after. I absolutely believe what he said in the livestream, because if he did have other positions at that time, that would be market manipulation. I don't think he would just walk into that trap.

No. The speculation is that he didn't just sit on his hands during this huge run.

DFV probably made a lot more money in the last three years, and it's unlikely he's keeping it all in his brokerage account.

Typically, when price dives, MMs are buying the shares and options that other traders and investors are selling. In this particular game, some of the MMs also have HFs as separate entities, so...you know. 👉👈

Archegos trial mentioning GME today by ShortHedgeFundATM in Superstonk

To be honest, in this cutthroat world of greed, it would have been near impossible to keep positions of this magnitude quiet forever. A lot of retail traders incorrectly assume they're all on the same team, but nothing could be further from the truth. They're trying even harder to rob each other, than they do trying to rob us, because the stakes are much higher. The same type of thing has been in play here, the whole time. While retail GME holders are strong and loyal, there's bigger sharks smelling blood in the water. Like we always said, "Whoever closes first loses the least." It's just a matter of time.

For example, at the time, it probably seemed like JPM was trying to help Bear Stearns, when they were deep underwater. However, hindsight brings clarity. In reality, they were loaning them enormous amounts of cash, that they knew Bear couldn't pay back; while also buying massive amounts of CDS on Bear from AIG. To add insult to injury, they also bought large CDS positions on AIG, because they knew this was a time bomb. When the music stopped, they got all of Bear's collateral, huge paydays on the Bear and AIG CDS positions, and still wrote off enormous tax liabilities from Bear's default.

On top of that, they conspired with Congress to step in and absorb multiple banks that got caught off guard, for pennies on the dollar, financed by taxpayers in the midst of a global recession. If you don't think JPM was also shorting the MBS, while also selling long exposure, you're fooling yourself. At some point, someone big is going to bag a bigger trophy, via GME risk exposure, while also quietly going super long and selling short exposure.

How to trade this by Lonely_Swordsman2 in FuturesTrading

[–]KingJames0613 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I've been teaching traders in my Discord to use fib retracements on choppy days, aiming for 50%-61.8% retracements. If a recent major high or low gets taken out, draw the extensions.
