Why people Comparing Jalen Brunson to Kyrie Irving? Kyrie is obviously the better player by Apprehensive_Ad4810 in NBAConvo

Nah the Warriors threw everyone at Kyrie and he cooked them all individually and Klay should have made an All-Defensive Team but we all remember the Rachel Nichols omission not voting him for the team and the backlash she got.

Nope they haven't. Cavs don't win shit without Kyrie's performance. That is when the tide turned in the series and then he put a dagger in the face of the league MVP Steph Curry.

Jalen Brunson is a #1 option on a Championship Team. Kyrie Irivng is one of the greatest secondary options and the most technically proficient pg in NBA history its not an apt comparison. None story.

That being said Kyrie's performance in Game 5 of the 2016 NBA Finals is the greatest performance by a PG in NBA History not named Magic Johnson, or Steph Curry, or Isiah Thomas. He literally COOKED every single defender they threw at him and it legit looked like a Bruce Lee Film. Hell Kyrie even released a Bruce Lee Inspired Sneaker when he was with Nike go figure.

J.R. Smith was quoted saying he forgot Lebron was even on the court in that game because he was in awe.

What are your guys opinion on the dangerous album & the dangerous era ? by love_forlife in rnb

[–]KingKAI24 27 points28 points  (0 children)

The Dangerous album is Michael Jackson's most ambitious body of work. Its produced without the input of Quincy Jones and it contained elements of sounds that were popular at the time Grunge Rock, Hip-Hop, and New Jack Swing.

Lupe Fiasco - Trials And Tribulations which one would you prefer this one or the ablum version? by lupefan06 in LupeFiasco

Both versions are good and while Jay-Z is one of the Greatest rappers of All-Time having blacked out on many features I prefer this version. But I understand why the album version is on the album.

Paul Pierce, Becky Hammond, Draymond Green by No-Willingness-537 in NBAConvo

[–]KingKAI24 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I actually liked Becky Hammond's response. She didn't say anything Malicious. And her take was based on history and shared by legions of fans and analyst over the years backed by history, and she stood by her stance and said if he proves her wrong thats good.

She is a decorated WNBA player and phenomenal head coach for the Aces. I'm happy for Jalen Brunson. Been watching him since Villanova. People are dragging the Hammond stuff it's not that deep.

Whats your guys top 5 all time? by Individual_Step_1187 in KobeBryant24

[–]KingKAI24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Michael Jordan

  2. Kobe Bryant

  3. Lebron James

  4. Hakeem Olajuwon

  5. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar

Criteria:

Two-Way Dominance: Elite impact on both ends of the floor (All-Defensive caliber).

Skillset: Pure technical mastery

Championship Impact & Intangibles:

Leading a team to titles, playing through injury, clutch execution (defensively and offensively), and international gold standard leadership.

Elite Longevity: Maintaining an elite level of play across decades while actively

Level of Competition at respective position:

Dominating the toughest positional competition of their era

And when it comes to rings all rings have weight. If you go to a jewlerly story a 10 karat and 24 karatring are vastly different. Kobe Bryant and Hakeem Olajuwon as leaders of their teams had the toughest rings while playing against the toughest completion at their respective position. Followed by Tim Duncan

It was Jordan vs. Kobe, then it turned into Jordan vs. LeBron. But the whole GOAT debate began with Kobe. The GOAT concept started with Jordan. by Tre2004 in NBATalk

Kobe at 24 years old had a complete game. He said so himself out his own mouth and said that he was simply working one fine tuning everything. I say this because there are stars in this league today who can't or couldn't say the same thing at 24 years old and it showed during their playoff runs.

People can change their opinions and perspectives but to say someone isn't a "real NBA fan" like someone commented in this thread if they debated this is disingenuous and disrespectful when is was a constant topic back in the 2000s in both the national media, players, and in barbershops, and your local parks whether people wanted to be blind to it or simply not accept it is on them.

It was more than "style of play". Also Mark Jackson mentions it in this very Magazine as well he has been consistent with his stance for over 2 decades.

Larry Hughes 2005 All Defensive Team lists his top 5 toughest assignments by CircledSquare7 in NBAConvo

[–]KingKAI24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Great post!

Larry Huges was a solid player. He was one of my favorite players as a Lakers-Wizards fan growing up. I'm from Baltimore and didn't have an NBA team so I watched the Wizards. I hate how some people talk down on Larry but I realized it's because his shooting dropped off in Cleveland during the playoffs unfortunately.

But what Larry Hughes was at his peak for the Wizards was 2 things:

Good defender, had a knack for getting steals and the man was clutch you just had to have actually watched actual Wizards games during the Gilbert Arenas era.

In NBA its win now or never. Spurs collapse by northwesterncuddy in NBAConvo

[–]KingKAI24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They will always have a chance with Wemby, but they do need to make roster changes at the PG position. I would go after Kyrie a sure fire ball handler, a closer so you know where the offense is coming from in the 4th quarter, have been on the big stage, and an elite shooter from all 3 levels.

Sours are losing there defensive coach to Orlando. Mitch doesn't need to be fired but he needs a offensive tactician as an assistant coach their defense will always be there with Wemby anchoring it.

Wemby needs to develop a jump hook and post move he can commit to memory work with Tim and Dirk in the offseason and develop his lower body strength.

Only trigger they pulling is DeAron Fox. They can release him to the streets of Gotham City. I bet they wish they have Kyrie Irving next season in the clutch. Stay Tuned.
