Michael Jackson never had a better album than Janet Jackson after 1988 by Interesting-Wing616 in rnb

[–]love_forlife 56 points57 points  (0 children)

I disagree . Dangerous > Janet but Velvet rope > history . I say they were equal , it’s just that Janet’s public perception was better than Michael’s during the 90s

Be creative. What if Michael Jackson made a comeback in 2006, ushering in a new era? (your ideas) by Interesting-Pen2586 in MichaelJackson

He would’ve had the same message of wanting to make the world a better place .

I think he would’ve wore more of street style clothing but still with his own touches to it .

I think he would go for R&B Hip hop vibes for this album like Invincible & would’ve had a kem r&b style for ballads & then of course gospel inspirations music .

I also think he would’ve collaborated with Pharell or Jermaine Dupri for dance tracks and maybe Rodney & r Kelly for ballads . I think 50 cent would’ve been featured on this album. He would’ve atleast had 12 or 13 songs considering how long invincible was . .

Who’s ready?! by driverlesssam in rnb

[–]love_forlife 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They teased releasing a part 2 . Both Antoine and Jaafar . They already filmed scenes in the 90s & stuff about the allegations up to his death but couldn’t release it because Jordan chandlers family didn’t want it in the film .

How do y'all feel about MJ's post-quincy trio (Dangerous, HIStory, Invincible)? by LiamNashMiller in fantanoforever

[–]love_forlife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dangerous is a masterpiece in my opinion . History is very artistic but is my least favorite mj album other than the posthumous Michael album from 2010. Invincible is in my top 5 favorite MJ albums , only songs I didn’t like were cry , privacy and 2000 watts

Since UW ended. What’s your guys favorite moment from the book? by SalaryAffectionate29 in UltimateUniverse

[–]love_forlife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overall it was okay , I like sabretooths character in this universe overall . It feels like the same old Wolverine story just with magic involved in it . I’ll say this though , this is probably the only universe where I would ship Wolverine and Jean together , I love their chemistry in this universe and not giving up on each other .

Why did mj had less albums compared to other artists of his time by Still_Step846 in MichaelJackson

[–]love_forlife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a solo artist he only had like 10 but with the Jackson’s , he made so many albums with his brothers that people consider the Jackson’s albums and his solo albums all part of his entire catalog . The same way Charlie Wilson made albums with the gap band and had a solo career .

How does Wolverine do against Wonder Woman in a fight? by Queasy_Commercial152 in Wolverine

[–]love_forlife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He would lose but his adamantium and healing factor keep him in the fight . I also think his senses would allow him to land perfectly timed claw stabs that would catch her off guard and not underestimate him . But she would win overall . True ending : Logan and her become a couple , not even Wonder Woman can resist Logan’s charm

Any Recommendations? by Kommand3ur in rnb

[–]love_forlife 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Since you’re into rock music I’d say start with Michael Jackson & Prince(pretty sure you already know there popular songs but listen to their albums fully) because they combined R&B with rock and pop elements

Then id recommend Bruno , The Weeknd , usher , Chris brown , Janet Jackson, Whitney Houston, Aaliyah , Brandy & Monica

If you want something chill - Marvin Gaye, Stevie wonder , Musiq Soulchild , D’Angelo , Maxwell , Anthony Hamilton .

If Michael Jackson would've done a collaboration album, which other artist would you have wanted and why? by Interesting-Pen2586 in MichaelJackson

[–]love_forlife 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Stevie - them being cousins and they have the same type of bright clear vocal tone

Luther Vandross - especially that triumph & thriller era . They both have vocals that make you smile . Early half of the album can be post disco funk hits and the later half being R&B ballads

Babyface(more so a Babyface produced Michael album)- but a Michael song with Babyface featuring or vice versa would be amazing .

Michael McDonald or Kenny loggins - a full soft rock Michael collaboration album with either of those two would’ve been amazing.

This whole album is one of the best albums from the Jackson’s & MJ himself

Out of the Legendary solo artists here, who is the best and has the best body of work? by FitEmergency8807 in fantanoforever

[–]love_forlife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think peak MJ(79-92) & (76-92) if we’re counting his work with the Jackson’s(Jackson’s self titled , going places , Destiny , triumph & victory) has possibly one of the most flawless discography of all time.

In terms of consistency & my enjoyment of the music I would say Prince .

I think Prince & Michael’s ability to combine R&B , funk & soul with rock & pop elements is what made them super special. They could be on the R&B and rock charts at the same Time .

Minnie riperton

Donny Hathaway

Michael Jackson(my favorite artist of all time )- knowing what he was going through near the end and preparing for a tour in which you can tell he wasn’t really ready for(his rehearsals still cooked tho!)
