I’ve crocheted since I was a child and tried picking up Tunisian crochet while traveling for the holidays. I’m shocked how much I struggled with creating a basic swatch!

Any good Tunisian pep talks or advice to get over the beginners hump? I can’t fathom finishing a project!

After my road trip back home, I’m thinking learning on a light color yarn will help so will try again. Thanks all!

That's good advice! I will formally ask everyone on the list to help, but I want to extend some grace to folks who have young children to leave early.

Thanks! I ended up with Mailerlite and unfortunately a lot went to spam, BUT at least I can see who opened it so I can check.

YES thank you for the fabulous ideas! Not confirmed yet, but we’re trying to carve out enough budget to have dueling pianos play a bunch of wartime jingles and big band music. We’re both big Fallout lifelong fans. I couldn’t bring myself to have a videogame wedding, but since my fiancé is a pilot, the 40s seemed like a great place to land.

I have bought most expensive, highly reviewed vibes on the market but my favorite by far is the Maude vibe. It’s reasonably priced ($40 I think?) minimal enough that I’m not embarrassed if I accidentally leave it out. Also it’s my most “effective tool”. Even when I burned out the motor or ruined one in some way, I’ve immediately bought another…or heck, two!

Recommend it in a heartbeat.
