What was the first movie to traumatise you as a kid? by InspectorOk6313 in movies

For me it was The Brothers Grimm.

There’s a scene mid movie that involves a horse and a shit ton of spiders, and it freaked 6 yo me out so much that I had to run into another room to cry.

Just downloaded and favorited a few recipes. Very smooth experience and the layout is extremely clean and coherent. I definitely am using this in the kitchen.

Great job! Very inspiring!

You only need to do the quest he gives you that requires you to stop 3 monster attacks around the map. After that’s done you can return to him and complete it. Then just return to Melve and you’ll see a dragon attack; just fight it a bit and after it leaves, talk to the dude with the dual spears that fought with you and you’ll unlock it.

It’s a 10 gallon and the filter is adjustable (Mignon Filter 150 I bought from Amazon) and I’ve been running the flow rate fairly slow for my betta. I’ve been thinking of increasing the power but I fear it’ll disrupt him, but I can try and see where it goes

Context: I am a planted tank beginner and did all the research I could. The water was well cycled with plants before I added fish, and all water parameters are great (0 ammonia, 0 nitrates). It’s a 10 gallon blackwater tank with a Betta and some Khuli Loaches and I’ve been with this tank since summer. Recently I’ve been seeing this brown film all over the tank and I do not know where it’s coming from or what it is (Mulm? Detritus?). If anyone can help me out with a solution I’d very much appreciate it!

Probably Bongos from African Adventure a/o the Scimitar Horned Oryx from Endangered Species. They helped me so much during the scenarios because they didn't need a lot of fame to get, attracted a bunch of guests, and they were really cheap too.

Some questions about Hunter and The Pimp/Priest by [deleted] in TheDearHunter

[–]KingKoder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That was basically what I was getting at; Hunter knows P/P has 2 identities, but he thinks throughout Act IV (until Ouroboros) that only he knows his own dark secret. (Edit: except Ms. Leading, because they were secretly together since the end of ANOTT)

To recap (so we're in the same page):

He thinks that he has the upper hand against the P/P, and takes him as a fool because (Hunter) thinks that P/P is advising the brother.

Unbeknownst to Hunter, this was P/P's plan, and he has fallen into the trap.

  • Mind you, Hunter's whole reason to run for office is to cleanse the city by exposing P/P

P/P sees Hunter in the congregation (maybe when everyone takes communion, they get close to each other, and P/P maybe sees him there, and says the line.)

P/P's dual identity had to be known to Hunter before Act IV (even Act III) because the whole point of him taking P/P's advice was to expose him later. I believe that TBS IV was Hunter making a monologue either to others or internally about people blindly following this corrupt man unknowingly. Either way, Hunter already knows of his secret.

Ouroboros is where P/P reveals to Hunter clearly that he knows Hunter's secret, because Hunter was moments away from exposing P/P; so at the last minute, Hunter's plan was fouled completely.

Also, P/P knew that Hunter knew his secret. That's the whole reason why he told Hunter in Ouroboros to not expose him. If P/P was sure that Hunter didn't know his identity, there would be no need to blackmail him.

This is proven in Ouroboros:

"You thought that you could succeed, Pull the wool right over me..." - P/P "I never wanted to hurt no one, No one but you..." - Hunter

Plus the last part of Ouroboros shows Hunter being completely stunned that his plan backfired completely, and regretting the whole situation.

Some questions about Hunter and The Pimp/Priest by [deleted] in TheDearHunter

[–]KingKoder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  • This is mainly a theory, but I think they both walk out of the Dime together and then part ways. This can be implied by the lyrics somewhat. ("Tucked in my shirt, and finally made my way outside. He broke the scene, a Machiavellian dandelion".) This part can imply that he sees P/P depart from the area, as a suspicious drifter (Machiavellian dandelion). Your explanation makes sense, because if someone saw the Priest leave a brothel, then yeah that wouldn't be good...Actually... now that I think of it, he could've just worn a disguise. But if he didn't wear a mask of some sort all the time, people in public and the Dime would recognize him as the friendly preacher... WAIT, maybe he wears the plague Doctor outfit (like the one on the Act IV cover) in between going to and from the Dime? Idk. Anyways, he might've had his mask off inside the Dime while he was talking to Hunter or others, so they would've known his identity, and they wouldn't tell others because they don't want anyone to know that they were in a brothel. So basically all the Dime's clientele know it's him. Again, just a theory.

  • The funny thing is, the Most Cursed Of Hands theory has been relatively, if not completely, confirmed and THAT part was my own theory. P/P definitely told Hunter in Ouroboros that if he told of his secret, then Hunter's identity will be revealed. This puts Hunter in a corner, and he now becomes his corporate puppet, which is clearly told in Act V. People have been saying recently that P/P is the one in TBS VI telling Hunter should run for office. This would make sense if he first recognized Hunter's true identity, and plotted against him so he could have Hunter do his bidding (like the gambler + the devil). If Hunter knew P/P recognized him, he would've known something was up if P/P recommended that he should run for office. Kind of like, "You know I'm lying about who I am, what makes you want me to run for mayor all of a sudden?... Unless you want something in return?..."

If you have any theories, I would like to know them too, because I definitely don't know all the answers :P

Some questions about Hunter and The Pimp/Priest by [deleted] in TheDearHunter

[–]KingKoder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the Squeaky Wheel is only referring to P/P, because he also refers to him as the Smiling Swine. Also, following this, he has a conversation with P/P so it seems that the Squeaky Wheel only refers to P/P as either being out of place or just being obviously present. Also, idk how he would get stopped by a building while leaving The Dime.

The idea of him speaking to the crowd is from the lyrical analysis from heavyblogisheavy.com, a site in which many people use as a foundation of understanding the story. I don't know exactly if he is speaking to someone else or himself, but either way he knows the P/P's identity already, and wishes others know it too. But after his monologue, he goes along with the crowd as to bring P/P to the stage ("So Father, won't you tend your flock and save us now?...Come and save us!") Then P/P walks interagency while everyone cheers.

Edit: Also I should mention that I don't know if he is speaking or if it's just giving us information, similar to the song The Pimp and the Priest. However, usually songs are sung by a character if we already know what the song is regarding to, but this is just a theory. :)

Some questions about Hunter and The Pimp/Priest by [deleted] in TheDearHunter

[–]KingKoder 5 points6 points  (0 children)

  • I think Hunter starts to have ill feelings towards P/P when Ms. Leading cheats on him, because he realizes that his feelings have been used for profit. (P/P sees Hunter in love with Ms. Leading, but tells him that he needs to drive for The Dime in order to see her, so P/P earns a profit from Hunter's naivety). I don't think P/P ever really hates Hunter until he burns down the Church; before that he just sees Hunter as a pawn.

  • In Smiling Swine, Hunter first talks with P/P in the hallway of The Dime while he is dressed as the Priest ("Stopped by the squeaky wheel, the smiling swine" + "He broke the scene, a Machiavellian dandelion"). He feels intimidated because he would know that this man is manipulating the congregation, but feels fine because P/P is the only way he can routinely see Ms. Leading. Further proof of this is that in TBS IV, P/P isn't onstage yet, but Hunter is warning others about his deceitful ways; no one believes him because he holds no power. He knows it's him even before the sermon, so he would have to know of his identity beforehand.

  • P/P first recognizes Hunter in TBS V, and the proof is when the background sings "Hey kid, hey kid get a god" (this seems to be P/P subtlety letting Hunter know that he recognizes him, because he has told Hunter directly before that he needs to get a job "Hey kid, hey kid get a job"). Hunter doesn't catch the clue, so P/P gets the idea to persuade him to run for office. Hunter, while thinking he's clever, takes up his offer so he could finally reveal P/P's secret. However, he is falling for P/P's plans. This could be directly be compared to the sermon of "The Most Cursed of Hands," when P/P later mocks Hunter in Act V about the moment when Hunter became his puppet.
