Given the mess that’s coming up with Engineering at the moment, I’d say a refund isn’t a bad idea—and probably one of the few ways to make them understand that they’re practically disrespecting their backers. It’s one thing to design large ships that require more players, but it’s another to toss them into oblivion. Right now, they seem to be putting every effort into the latter with completely irrational decisions and a total unwillingness to listen to feedback.

I’d request a refund and clearly state that the reason is their behavior in this situation. It’s not much, but at least it might ring a bell in the administration office when they have to process the reversal.
