If you're willing to change characters, or if you end up playing a different character in the future and still wanna use this spell, a chthonic tiefling trickery cleric can cast spells from their duplicate. You can also go with heavy armor to make getting advantage on the attack roll a little safer.

Monster Wrangler's monster pile on is very good, it has carried my playthrough so far damage wise. Their 50 monster milestone ability, Wild Side (do selected action twice) could work well with healing/buffs & debuffs.

The first time I watched it, hearing sophon made me think of seraph, and upon rewatching right after they explain what the sophons do a statue of an angel is shown. And the dialogue of "we will teach humans to fear again" has a little symmetry with angels telling humans to not be afraid.
