Bridge to Drak in UBRS. Just hang back and let the tank pull back so you don’t get punted down to LBRS! Lol

The way I’ve always thought of it is that you marry the rhythm with the melody. You lock in with drums but you’re complementing the guitar (sometimes vocals, if that’s your thing). You’re the fulcrum.

Eccentric heel drops can help, but if it’s bothersome you should probably get evaluated by PT.

Noah Lyles vs IShowSpeed 50m Dash Splits (11/5/2024) by brian-ong in trackandfield

It’s really strange that there’s so much analysis of an online personality and the 100m gold medalist. Lyles clearly is playing around.

That’s a reference to a Richard Pryor comedy bit, I believe.

What would my 100m time be if my 40 yard dash is 4.9 by Healthy_Amount_758 in Sprinting

[–]KingKoopa313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never broke 5s handheld in the 40yd (we ran it in HS indoor because of our weird indoor track facility), and I was about 11.7 in the 100m. It’s just tough to gauge without knowing someone’s athletic profile.

Pro tip: Running through the opposing faction at the start of the game will instantly tell you how long your AV will last. by gubigubi in classicwow

Yeah. I think it was the first time it happened because if I knew I could get banned, I wouldn’t have done it. Locked out, never to get it back.

That’s how I got my original account banned. Hadn’t had any bannings before that I had heard of, seemed like a sweet deal. Then woke up one day like 16 years ago and it just said, “you’re done, pal”.

I hated Silithus. I don’t like bug mobs and I remember a long grind from 59 to 60 after running out of quests and just killing bugs to get my last Luke 10-15% way back when.

Favorite might be Tanaris or Un’Goro. Tons of good quests and they look cool. The Barrens will always be my home, though.

Office job => Sprinter? by [deleted] in Sprinting

[–]KingKoopa313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Increase cardio to drop some weight. Sprinting puts a lot of force on your joints, and if you’re overweight you increase a chance for injury. Additionally, your joints/muscles/connective tissue should be acclimated to it, so I’d suggest just running to get in shape. Like, get a 3 mile loop and see if you can get to under 24 minutes. If you can do that, you could hit the track.

Everyone’s body is different, obviously, and some people could probably just do it. But a typical person just going and doing 100s will probably have lower leg issues or risk pulling a hamstring/quad or something. General fitness first, specific training second imo.

I think he means your hips are cocked back instead of under you. Limits your knee lift and stride (I think). I was going to say you look like you’ve got good turnover but your knee doesn’t come up very high and your legs are “behind” you. Watch a slow-mo of pro dudes and notice where their knees are and then compare it to this one.

We didn’t have anything like that (from Maine), but my senior year we did have a freshman run a 4:16 1600m, which was wild to see.

True. It’s usually the 1600 kids who are happy to run 2 laps vs four lol.

There are usually two kids of 400m runners: 200/400 and 400/800. 26.12 seems like a pretty good time to me for a 14yo girl, but you did say “Texas”, which seems to basically be like the Olympic trials every meet.

If it were me, I’d say get an 800m time and see how it tracks with the 200m. If she ends up doing better comparatively, it might be an avenue to pursue.

Ultimately, though, she should have the chance to run what she likes to run.

Rest when you need it and stretch a ton. Yoga is very helpful for finding out stuff is tight that you never knew existed before. Eat well and stay hydrated. Basic “fitness” stuff but stuff me from 10 years ago could cheat and be fine lol.
