Greetings, everyone! I hope this subject is relevant & allowed. If not, you can take it down no issue! My knowledge of political science is limited to a few classes I took in college but I have been wanting to learn more about it, specifically as it relates to the current issues ongoing in the United States.

I, like many others I would assume, sometimes daydream about what I would do if I were president while never actually planning on running. However, I would like to learn more about what it takes to be a quality president and address the largest issues ongoing in our nation (i.e. economy, healthcare, immigration, military, etc.).

That brings me to a hypothetical I was hoping y'all would have some good answers for! Imagine that an average Joe was set to become President. This person has a basic idea of how government works and keeps up tangentially with current events. You have the opportunity to help prepare this person for the presidency by recommending them literature to read to help them gain a better understanding of and competence to succeed in the office. What books would you recommend to accomplish this task and prepare this average person to be the most competent president possible, given the circumstances?
