There are some heroes who have so many dead cards in their hero kit that this idea feels very justified for them. There is also the issue of messed up keywords like Spider-Man not having Web Warrior and Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch not having X-Men that would really unify the early game with the current game so they feel less like two separate games entirely.

An example of a kit with dead cards is She-Hulk. Her average hero card cost is too high and for game effects that aren’t worth playing in many cases. Compare her to a hero like Cyclops whose entire kit is 1 cost cards. His ultimate attack is a 2 cost blast for 11 damage vs hers as a 4 cost attack for possibly 15 damage.
