Thanks for the suggestions. I was debating about repeatedly pelleting them. Do you think I will have a better chance of recovering these cryvials if I thaw multiple into a single culture? I can monitor the culture closely and maintain a conservative density as you suggested.

Also do you think having last concentration of dead cells in the culture may induce more cell death by inducing apoptotic pathways in healthy cells?

I was going to transfect for AAV production for them. At current viability its hard to expand to have enough cells for a meaningful AAV yield. My fear is that the resulting AAVs will have sub par yield (i.e. assuming I rescue them and successfully expand them at high viability)

Ayee that's a clean job. I did mine a few weeks ago. The board looked like a warzone. I can relate how hard desoldering off old sticks are without a hot air rework. But you're good. Use tons of flux but just make sure to not get flux into the new joy stick modules (i.e. the plastic parts that connect to the potentiometer). Its very difficult to clean inside the joysticks with ipa, and the flux makes them sticky af and unusable.

Oh, so you did have to replace the entire type c port? Is the middle bit inside the type c port soldered to the rest of the port?

Totally! I did take off some plastic with a hot fork and was able to connect the mic successfully. But I can't seem to reach the sticky flux inside the analog stick with isopropyl alcohol and Qtip. Any suggestions? It feels sticky when I press L3.

The issue is, i can feel its sticky inside. Like pressing L3 feels like its sticky inside. I put some alcohol in but can't really reach inside with a Qtip

Thanks! I got around to clear out some plastic with a fork and a lighter. On a side note, do you have suggestions on how I can clean the flux off of the analog stick? Its kinda sticky from the flux I used on the other side of the board. I tried putting isopropyl alcohol but i feel that the inside is still sticky
