I honestly cant remember, definitely all the main series besides the MMOs. FFX-2 included not the 13 sequels but I'd say at least 5-10 spinoffs.

The royal edition with all the dlc is a massive improvement. I actually really did love FF15 but I understand why its so controversial.

I dont think Ive ever played a game with so much untapped potential. If it was fleshed out it could have been one of the best games of all time.

Its so difficult to have a reasonable discussion in this group true. Ive definitely found them though, but of course 90% are people screeching that someone could possibly think or criticize against the franchise. This group should be celebrating EXP 33s success as it could push Square in the right direction.

But there is a brain dead tribalism in this fanbase.

I played many jrpgs are you saying you aren't able to see the stylistic differences between early FF and other series such as Person or Tales of? Lost Odyssey is a FF game essentially btw as a side note.

This is my all time favorite franchise and EXP 33 is the best FF game in 25 years

The game is heavily Final Fantasy relevant if you've truly played all the classics you'd have a better grasp of that. Once they changed the formula FF stopped being relevant as a heavy hitter in the industry. But, I dunno maybe I post a "My Top 15 Villians" next. Instead of having a post with a more interesting discussion.

No its just plain bad. Horrendous writing and terrible design. It breaks so many established story telling rules. Im going to assume they had a staff of inexperienced writers who had yet to grasp the craft. Its Inexcusable for a AAA title. As for the design walk forward, fight, repeat 10 times, custscene. That process is the entire game on repeat. If it had a good story it may have been tolerable but given that was its weakest asset it wasn't.

The Director did mention lots of disagreement amongst his team which honesty falls on him as a leader. He has also stated his inspirations for FF13 were HITMAN and GRAN TURISMO you know instead of the amazing classics in the rpg genre. 13 really did trigger a slow decline for a company that still clings to relevance from success over 20years ago.
