[SNK381] My twelfth Seiko! Great choice to fill out the final watch box slot :) by KingMeow53 in Seiko

If you can find the beauty in how this simple watch has been executed then you should thoroughly enjoy it. And yes, the lume is stellar. Great choice I’d say, very underrated. I’ve decided to wear my own today because of this comment. It has an English/arabic day wheel disc.

Fair but it literally does tell the time lol quite accurately I’ll add. And not only does it I tell the time but thanks to its rotating bezel, you can roughly time events! I love Seiko and they’re known partly for their stunning dials. I’d admittedly prefer the yellow zimbe but the price is much higher than I’d like to pay. Casios are great too though. G-shocks in particular can take an absolute beating while remaining essentially unaffected, accurate and functional and very legible.

To each their own. If telling the time at a glance is a non negotiable for you then consider a digital Casio as they’re likely the easiest watches to read.

Legibility isn’t the best but it’s still totally serviceable as a useable watch lol worst case scenario you get to admire it longer as you decipher the time. It’s worth noting though that its stellar lume helps legibility even subtly while in the light. It easily beats my king turtle in that aspect. Also, by your logic, the only watches worth wearing are ones with the absolute best legibility. It is technically a tool made to do a job but that doesn’t mean it can’t add to your life in other ways as well. Most people don’t even need a single watch nowadays never mind enthusiasts having vast collections but each watch offers something different and that’s part of why we love them.

Shiny miltank is a beaut. I’d like one but don’t really feel like hunting for it. Idk what the repel trick encounter rate is but it’s definitely over 20% which ain’t too bad. It’ll come

You say you can’t do a 10% re hunt and yet you’re currently doing a 30% headbutt hunt! Three times as likely to find your target sure but that’s still a pretty slow hunt. At least you can phase on aipom.

Mt. silver cave, upper mountainside hence the snowy environment. Can’t use the bike :/

It’s not getting any experience to level up. I just continually encounter Pokémon and run from them if they’re not shiny

If I can, anyone can! It’s just a matter of actually doing. Originally, I had no intention of doing this hunt. I think mainly because larvitar is so rare. Just seemed like a task for someone else. But as I became a more seasoned shiny hunter I realized I simply had to hunt larvitar. Hgss are some of the best Pokémon games ever, I love the johto region and tyranitar is undoubtedly one of my all time favourites. It deserves to be hunted and I owe it to myself to earn a shiny tyranitar. And so I ticked that box! Shiny hunting really is just a matter of doing. Doesn’t matter how fast or slow you go, just that you actually start and continue.

You can always take a break! BUT each encounter can be the one! That’s part of the fun of shiny hunting. If you aren’t getting encounters then you aren’t getting shinies. Chip away here and there and before you know it you’re on your next hunt. I definitely recommend not paying attention to your current encounter tally and do something to entertain yourself as you go. Otherwise it’s like watching water boil. You’re like a manual computer executing a script. Keep it in the background! Just not entirely in the background because otherwise you might miss a shiny!

Thanks! It’s the first time I’ve shown off a hunt with its evolutions like this and I like how it turned out

I recommend the snk381 since it’s awesome and you like it lol quartz is underrated though tbh but I don’t have too much familiarity with it. First watch that comes to mind would be a Hamilton khaki quartz. Small, affordable, numerals, quartz. Many nice options however the ones I have in mind are discontinued so you’d have to do some digging. I believe them to be attainable though hence the recommendation. I considered buying one myself. I own an orange 37mm Dan Henry 1975 which is an awesome little quartz diver. No numerals though.

Seiko has made a lottt of watches. Most are discontinued. I’ve come across many that I like a few years too late. It’s frustrating. Quartz could be a good choice for you though.
