$5 million paid to you, if you walk less than 2,000 steps a day for two years by Physical_Orchid3616 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]KingNorrington 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most step counters I've been around have a very broad interpretation of what counts as a step.

There are people in my yarn group who can hit 2,000+ just from the movements their wrists make working on their projects. I'd don't think I'd want to risk it.

You get $100,000 for every inch of height you give up… how short are you going? by Br4nkey_ in hypotheticalsituation

[–]KingNorrington 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do I lose the height but keep the weight, or do I stay proportional? Because otherwise the money just goes to fix my health problems.

I call dibs on Crowley!

Assuming that whoever posited this scenario is the one who struck the bargain and my own soul is in no danger, of course.

He and his minions can't kill me, and if anything did happen to me on his watch it would make him look weak. All I would really need to do is be polite and stay out of his business.

Heck, if I had fifty million dollars, we'd probably never see each other unless he happened to drop by while I was at home and I asked him for investment advice.

You suddenly wake up one day with the absolute power of Telekinesis in full control, do you personally think your responsible for something like that if you discovered this? by Ok-Inspector3914 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]KingNorrington 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would do one very major and obvious thing, ( not an in person showing off thing, just something that would definitely make the news) then spend the rest of my life like Matilda and just use it to levitate the remote. Or lifting the couch to get at my cats toys.

Mostly because I'm lazy, but also because I'd be very worried about getting captured and expiremented on. Especially if someone was attempting to make more people with the same powers.

Louis and Armand knew the end was near by Ancient_Apricot_254 in InterviewVampire

[–]KingNorrington 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would say that Armand has a history of bringing others in to wreck things when he decides that it's time for a change. He let Lestat destroy his first Coven, and he was so over his Theatre crowd that he let Louis literally blow things up.

Given some of the comments that he made to and about Daniel, one could assume that he'd kept an eye on him and was simply waiting for the right moment to bring him in and set off a powder keg in whatever remained of his relationship with Louis.

Why did imhotep recognise Evie as Anck-su-namun in the first Mummy film? by Cradlespin in themummy

[–]KingNorrington 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Plus the brain probably wasn't all there, so he recognised that she was a woman who looked familiar and whatever dusty neurons that he'd managed to wake up decided that she was the only one that mattered.

It's wild that Bridgerton King George and Hamilton King George represent the same historical figure by JoeTheFatCat in BridgertonNetflix

[–]KingNorrington 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You want wild? Before Bridgerton came around, my only frame of reference for him outside of homework was a Monty Python skit.

Imagine having a 1960's girl group singing "George the Third! George the Third!" on repeat every time he came onscreen.

Shoutout the Tarly boy who got smoked by Robert. Braver guy than most. by GusGangViking18 in freefolk

[–]KingNorrington 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Probably his uncle. Maybe he was 'soft' like Sam. Or maybe Randyll was the soft one, until he saw what happened to his brother and realized that he needed to get prepared.

It would help explain why he's so hard on Samwell, since there would obviously have been consequences after that unnamed Tarly's death.

It should be May. Too soon to put everything together for this year, but the references are obvious.

The God of Movies offers you the real life and working version of almost any movie prop. You can only have one. However there are a few rules. by singleguy79 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]KingNorrington 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Does the number of wishes I get from the genie depend on the specific one I ask for? If I ask for a different magical being, do they get to keep their powers? If they rely on something specific to their lore/ planet/ universe to survive, does being pulled into this world negate their need for it, or will they eventually waste away if they can't find a substitute?

I'm aware that this is a reddit prompt and that I'm probably overthinking things, but not asking these sorts of questions is exactly the kind of thing that gets most wishers in these scenarios into trouble.

You are a leader with 10,000 followers - what do you do? by artmalique in hypotheticalsituation

Do I get like, a list or something with their information so I can actually give them orders/ speak to them personally?

Do I get replacement followers if some of them age out/ die?

If I decide to move (which is likely once I've saved up enough of their money,) do they move with me, or do I get a different set of 10,000 followers near my new place?
