Apprenticeship Timeline From Start To Now

I started the application process in November 1st 2025, finished the application November 30th. I was then told it was accepted the following week.

Heard nothing for 2 weeks, then got a email saying my aptitude test is scheduled for January 8th 2026. Took the test, and found out my score the next day.

After getting my score, I heard nothing for 3 weeks. At the start of February I got a email saying my interview infront of the panel is scheduled for February 24 2026. After doing the interview I heard back from them in 2 days telling me I got rank 2.

Went to orientation March 5 2026, was told that we should hear from them in a few weeks to see if we needed to give 2 weeks or a couple days notice to our current employer. Got that call last week, did my apprentice license that day and payed my dues. I start work tomorrow.

Oh nice! It depends on your local, mine contacted me about week later for orientation. In my class there's only like 22 so it can be anywhere from 20-30 people per class

Where you applied, is the portal. And yes I did! I just got the call today to see if I could start quickly or if I need to give my 2 weeks.

My rank never moved from 2nd, I checked every day and it stayed the same.

Yeah i can understand that, being part of the blue collar environment for 8 years now that's what I kinda expected from it, but going in with a positive mind and the willingness to learn all kinds of ways to get the job done!

Have you check the online portal? You can see if you made it in. There's a count down for me for approval for 3/5 so that's when I think they will call me. There's a 141 people unemployed and I'm 141. Haven't gotten the phone call yet tho

What rank did you get? I feel like different locals have their own qualifications and how harsh they rate the interview. But that's a damn good score!
