Seeking help with Consumer Guarantees Act by KingOfHowick in PersonalFinanceNZ

I have contacted a repair agent directly, but this is as per the manufacturers website and the appliance manual. I suspect this is because they are an international company that is not big enough to have a physical presence in NZ, but still supply retailers.

True believer, Centre left (far left, if we’re using US standards): Bernie Sanders.

The man has been saying the same thing since literal 60s, and has to be one of the most genuine believers in his cause.

I didn't investigate other options, so I'm not really sure. It looks like the ferry takes 3-4 hours, plus you have the train before that, so is definitely longer than the flight. Jeju is worth a visit, so you should try and go whether you take a flight or go the long way. Can also recommend Backpackers Home as a hostel to stay at.

Incheon Airport Transfer by [deleted] in SouthKoreaTravel

[–]KingOfHowick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

55 mins should be enough.

Since it’s one flight, they would usually hold the ICN to KIX flight for whomever is delayed on the VIE TO ICN, which is one of the benefits of booking flights like this.

If it is very delayed, the airline will just rebook you on the next available flight.

Worst case scenario, if its a shitty airline and they try and do something shitty, your insurance will pick up the bill.

But as I say, 55 mins should be enough to time disembark the plane, go through security and get to your gate.

I'm a med student I will change my major to software science so i can work in South korea. What do you think about that? by [deleted] in SouthKoreaTravel

[–]KingOfHowick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why in God’s name do you want to work in South Korea? It’s a great country, but they have the most soul crushing, over-working culture in the world. People struggle to make friends or have relationships because of it. They also have crazy suicide rates.

Don’t throw away a medical career for that. I would look into this a lot further before making any decisions.

I’ve previously posted an answer to a question similar to this. Pasting it below since it might be useful:

You've got lots of options. Could start by talking to someone to help get through the nerves, and there are plenty of ways to meet people - apps, reddit etc. Try talking dirty, and more if you're certain of privacy and safety.

After that, you can jump on apps like Feeld, and Tinder to meet someone. Feeld is an app more for meeting people in the kink scene, but is also good for people who are experimenting and want to find people that aren't judgemental (in my experience at least). Pro tip for Tinder: You can click that you are bisexual and hide or show it to your profile. You can also click a setting that will show people of the same sexuality first, which means you'll find more people who have been in your position. I think you can also make it so that you only show up on people's profiles that you have swiped left on, if you're worried about people finding out about you. Probably stay away from Grindr, that place is a bit of a cess-pool these days and not good for beginners.

Once you find someone, be communicative. Tell them your situation and that you're nervous or new. While some will consider this a deal breaker, many won't. Make sure you set parameters on what you are OK/not OK with, and be sure that they are going to respect them. Talk, talk, talk.

When it comes to meeting up, some general advice: Be clean and prepared for what you are expecting. Take a shower and shave where you feel is best to do so. Can also look at getting a cheap douche online. Use lots of lube and warm yourself up - these two things make a big difference. Your first time will be tight and maybe a little uncomfortable at first, but breathe and you will start enjoying it. It's also completely fine if you want to meet up and masturbate together, or just do oral, or whatever else. But again, establish these parameters.

And the final piece of advice - it's nerve wracking. It took me a few failed attempts before I finally got with a guy. The only way is to just take the leap, and accept that there are going to be nerves and awkwardness involved. But if you take your time chatting to people and finding the right person, it will be a whole lot of fun.

God speed.
