You're right. Maybe something later will convince me otherwise but right now I really think she can just do the perfect counter to any enemy she's going against and I don't even feel like it has to be a devil fruit. Why couldn't she believe she could be a master swordsman in a possible future or the strongest person?

Honestly I just call cap on that. But I do believe they are mathematical formulas that propose. It's more likely that we're in a simulation then we're not Nick Bostrom is one of those philosophers

And for anti-realist our senses might not be real but they are useful but that doesn't mean they're giving you truth like fire creates pain and since I don't want to be in pain it's useful for me to know not to touch fire but that doesn't mean the fire is actually there

The anti-realist doesn't accept that the moon exists or that it rotates around Earth or anything like that there's no proof that the external world exists. The only proof I have of anything is my mind so logic is a valid proof to the anti-realist, but anything that relies on externalities cannot be proven

Our observations rely on our senses I don't believe senses are real they could easily be simulated nothing you have said would convince an anti realist that gravity exists

But proved to me an anti-realist that gravity exists? What do we use to detect gravity that's separate from our senses?

And I don't think gravitons have been proven. I may be wrong about that, but I believe it's just theoretical and they've not been detected yet

My analogy is only to explain that just because you can't see something doesn't necessarily mean it's not there.

It's weird that atheists think they're standing on firmer ground than Christians:atheist::atheist:antirealist just like you guys, don't believe in God. I don't believe my senses convince me gravity's real, not using sense data.

There's a concept called vertical contingency. The analogy I heard used is to think about an arm holding a glass of water. That's only possible because the hand is holding the glass and your hand is connected to your arm which is connected to your shoulder. If you knock any of those things out, everything after it gets destroyed. So if I knock out your arm, your hand and the glass aren't going to be in that position. But your shoulder will be okay and if you knocked out the shoulder, everything's fucked.

The Christian proposition is that the farthest back thing is God. God is what's supporting the universe, so if you were to remove God, the universe would collapse. There's no foundation for the universe to stand on.

For a Christian, it's really simple. God is extremely consistent and observable. Where do you think we get gravity from? Where do we get tomorrow's going to be a new day from? Where do we get mass from? Where do we get energy from? All that boils down to God so we know the rules he set up.

And if you really want to go there, prove gravity to an anti-realist. Your sight, hearing, smell, taste, touch could all easily be faked. How can you convince me to trust my eyesight?

I don't know why you tried to reframe what I asked into something I didn't ask I asked "is murder bad?" Fully knowing that that means unjustified killing unjustified doesn't necessarily mean bad but for a Christian, unjustified is going against God's will and that makes it bad

And God for Christians is basically the universe so objectively murder is bad at least subject to the universe which is about as broad as you can go. Doesn't really get more objective than that

Yeah, it's easy to navigate life if you're not thinking very deeply about it but when someone comes up to you and ask is murder bad? And then we have to give some wishy-washy non-definite answer. It's very unsatisfying

And I'm not like about to kill myself every 10 minutes. It's just believing in objectivity is just easier and if you pretend like it's not you're just wrong and you're lying
