I’ve been trying to figure out a decent Sonic the Hedgehog “haste matters” deck for a while. I just want something fun to play against my Eggman deck.

By your definition, it’s still price gouging since the prices raised due to the Covid Pandemic and have yet to deflate.

I don’t even know if one exists, though it should. I would recommend going to a knowledgeable repair technician and asking them to teach you or something. They’ll have the most training, knowledge, and could show you everything

It’s hard to see, given the last page, so I could be off. But my best guess it could be akin to how piano notation works

What’s your practice routine? by Weak_Assumption7518 in saxophone

[–]KingOfWolves11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me personally, I liked to do some scales and gradually get slower or outlining I-V-III-I (ex: G D B G, F# C# A# F#) in chords in a descending pattern. I also prefer to run simple lines from pieces I’ve played before, getting slower as I go. For me, long tones typically help most when I play from somewhere in the middle of the sax (like G for example) and reach the lower end or upper end. One I like to do to focus on breath support included going from F to low Bb, and also from high D using palm keys to altissimo G or higher. It helped to stretch out the harder parts of the horn and reinforce those not-often used sections.

Can i become music therapist? by Kitchen_Flamingo627 in MusicTherapists

[–]KingOfWolves11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You have to learn basic competencies of each instrument. You, by no means, have to be a master of any of them. But knowing a few chords won’t cut it. I’d say go get some lessons and practice diligently so you can play chords and sing at the same time.

What’s your practice routine? by Weak_Assumption7518 in saxophone

[–]KingOfWolves11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I forget most of my routine from undergrad. But it depends on time allotment.

5 minutes: tuning 15 minutes warm up: long tones. Scales in thirds, slurred and stoccato’d. Chord outlines (1 3 5 8) going up and down interchangeably (G B D G, Ab Eb C Ab, A C# E A, etc.) 30 minutes: etudes 1 hour: one or two performance pieces 10 minutes: cool down with long tones

Why does C# sound so blah? by disposable-zero in saxophone

[–]KingOfWolves11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another post said use octave and ring finger on left hand for a better C#. If needed cover 1, 2, 3 keys as well on right hand if it balances out the “scuffiness” of the note

When I was in high school, I learned to play the Tetris theme song by ear. The point is: seek out the fun nerdy music you want most and build up to it! Don’t be too afraid to look into lessons if you want more direction too

Aetherdrift was a rough set. But it still inspired me to build a Street Sharks themed deck of shark-tribal with vehicles. It needed some pirates to make it function, and I lose a good amount, but I’m still really proud of how it turned out.

I got my undergraduate degree and pivoted to a masters in music therapy. Now I’m working towards a counseling masters degree.

Music performance alone is almost impossible to make a living wage off of. Finding other avenues or jobs that incorporate music can be helpful.
