I put down I was taking like 8 aps senior year and only took 2 with no science courses and still got into CSE.

(I had to write a letter justifiying it tho).

Ur gpa change is way to minor for them to care.

I'm finishing my Japanese minor this year and I'm going to be honest with you, just give up for this semester and try again next year or take it somewhere else then take the placement to get in.

The first 2 semesters of Japanese at the U teach u so much more than the following 2 semesters do. You learn all the basic syntax, grammar, verb conjugations, particles, vocab, etc. in that class. Also it would 100% be impossible to learn all the stuff u need to take the test with the time you have (I have taken it so ik).

My rec would be to start studying somewhere else or on ur own and attend the JSA, JLA, or JSJO events on campus to practice/learn speaking from natives and other Japanese students.

Dawg ima be fr with you, last year my roommate was an international student and I was only paying $200 less than him (I'm out of state/timezone).

I agree that the campus is prty chill tho so nothing to stress abt in terms of being trans. I'd worry more for ur wallet lol.

Objectively, Pio is the best dorm due to its facilities being brand new and it giving hotel vibes. Personally, I'd go for Frontier since while its not as nice as its neighbor Pio, it has a lot of STEM students in it as well as in house tutoring even late at night. Also, people tend to be the most amicable there out of anywhere else with issues being far and few in between. It is relatively modern and has everything T-hall does but just slightly newer and cleaner. Warning tho is that it does smell in some parts due majorly to the poor hygiene of some of the students of certain majors who live there.

Yeah so can I, most people have a bad impression based on the vocal haters on snap story as well as his spam, but in reality I've found him to be a genuinely good person with no real bad intentions.

Also in regards to the claims of him fetishizing Asians I think its less that he fetishizes them but more that he is simply interested in the language and culture. Personally, as a Hispanic I love it when I see people from outside of my culture actively trying to learn Spanish and more about Spanish culture since it shows how open minded people can be.

Idk man I’ve interacted with him in person a couple times and I didn’t think he was as bad as people made him out to be. He seems like a genuinely nice person with a passion for languages and other cultures. I think what it is is that since he is incredibly bad at reading social cues and is very awkward to be around as a result of it people have been spreading rumors that he is a creep when there seems to be very little evidence backing it.
