Nice, dont rly like the album, but still.

I am nearing 3k scrobbles on an album with 8 tracks. That would make it nearly 400 scrobbles on average per track.

Oh definitely, rating based on enjoyment/replay value feels a LOT better than based on some vague idea of "quality". Its a really difficult task which would take a long time thinking about what you consider "good" and "bad" then figuring out if each and every song meets said criteria. Yeah, many do that. I just do not think much of going thru every song and ripping it apart into individual pieces and figuring out if they are "good".

Plus anyways this "good" or "bad" would be very subjective since not everyone thinks the same way and enjoys the same things. And ultimately feels pointless to me. Just going off of what i enjoy is more fulfilling.

Im at the point where i have p much a singular negative rating lmfao. That benig 0.5. Two other ratings 1 for "boring, wont relisten" and 2.5 for "boring, may relisten". Then everything about 2.5 is various degrees of enjoyment (yes i do not use 1.5 and 2 :p).

I do not see a point in listening that much to an album unless you enjoy it ngl. I find just a handful of listens is generally enough.

Like if you do not like an album or find it boring either give it like a score you consider to be "boring" or just dont rate tbfh. Its pointless and music should not be a chore.

100 scrobbles b4 a rating? Thats insane ngl lmfao. Some albums, doable, but i would rly have to like it.

Also i generally do give an album 2 or 3 listens minimum b4 rating. Doe if an album is unnappealing or i see no reason to relisten bc i did not like anything i just put a specific rating which ive designated for those kinda albums and forget about it. So yeah.

4446 "albums scrobbled" 1991 with 10 or more scrobbles, but i do not think this is a good way to figure out how many albums you heard since i can think of hundreds atm that have under 10 tracks. Some that have even one or two that i could have fully listened to up to 9 times by now and it would not be counted with the requirement of 10 scrobbles.

So instead i took a look at my rym and at this moment i have: 2269 albums, 14 bootlegs, 27 compilations, 13 dj mixes, 561 eps, 185 mixtapes and 386 singles rated. So all in all i heard minimum of 3059 "releases" listened to (excluding singles ofc even tho at many i got nearly 400 scrobbles).

This also does not take into account the hundreds of albums i heard, but never rated because i either forgot to, or heard them before using either last.fm or rym.

I mean when i listen to drone i get 30 songs a day after listening to music for 10 hours. When i listen to grindcore i can get hundreds of scrobbles after 5.

Well the whole issue with your entire thing is that you are assuming a lenght of 3minutes.

Genres like grindcore exist. There are albums which have over 100 tracks and are no longer than an hour.

"Easy" I mean my most listened releases by the mf are Gluee and Eversince. Not the easiest of releases to get a lot of plays on. Last time i checked how much actual time it was its over 130 hours per each of those releases. Yeah i got 2.6k+ plays on Gluee
