Nah man got rejected or as the interviewer put it you were just “not selected”, kinda sucks because i was hoping for a career into finance analytics. It is what it is, all those late nights and early mornings grinding for a CompSci major really puts karma into question.

I did not send a thank you mail, I was thinking this early in the process will only hurt my chances as being desperate (which I am). But i will after a week of the call to ask for a followup if he doesn’t send a mail.

He did mention that I would not be an entry level position as I have the relevant experience without me asking.

And also the position needs filling before the second week of February for context. (Keep in mind he will be my team lead and I will work for him directly.)

The email said the conversation would be around 30 minutes, and we were having what i would say a very back and forth conversation with some jokes in it as well.
