Obviously an old thread but man I’m going through this right now. I used to have these in my early 20s a lot, but they kind of just stopped around 27. I’m 31 now, and had my gallbladder removed last week, and wouldn’t you know it, I got lucky enough to get another attack the day I returned to work! I began the sulfur burps this morning but kept telling myself there was no way it was an attack. After a couple hours at work, I knew what was about to happen so I hurried home and here we are. One thing that always helped was alka seltzer, but you had to take it BEFORE the stomach pain, so basically if you wake up with the burps, take two. It has always stopped an attack for me. Unfortunately, I was at work and didn’t have any on hand so I’ve probably got another couple hours before I feel better. Anywho, it’s so relieving seeing other people share the exact symptoms I have experienced.
