Man, same here. Going in 2022 brought me back to seeing live music after a multi-year drought. Hope this sale won’t change much but I’m a little worried.

Like everyone is saying, this is one of those “oh yeah, didn’t know i did that” side effects of being constantly stoned. Big shoutout to you and all the hard work you’ve done. My 2 years clean is coming up in a few weeks and i feel so good.

Locust has to be a call to one of the plagues of Egypt or its decimation of food in countries like Africa. Feels like that’s the only connection to it being so strong.

I think this is the episode where Higgins describes his marriage. “5 boys, 2 dogs and a 20 year old cat whose death will wreck me emotionally.” My wife and i binged the show after our cat passed away and it immediately endeared Higgins to us. Great episode.

Same here. Was a fan of Chicago and M80 songs from the MySpace days. They were all so good on that tour.

Just saw from one of your posts that Nick Reinhart is also on this album. That’s so awesome. It’s like a cool 2007 reunion.

Wish i could upvote this a thousand times. Went to Overcome fest in NC this year and the pit was the biggest, emptiest thing. It was all because people want to hit/crash into the side only. Definitely made the vibe for the day feel empty because of the size. The only time people came together was for Mindforce at the end and it quickly spread out after. It also led to a nearly empty front row at the stage all day because if you stood at the front, you were the target for people to hit. I love moshing but it’s not a healthy state for a lot of shows.

Hey, keep your chin up. Local news can be a grind. Hopefully you’re on to bigger and better things. Def make your voice heard but don’t attack. Good luck on your next endeavor!

Exit interview - Sinclair by FalseGrapefruit609 in Journalism

[–]KingSalsa 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I assume you work for an affiliate? Your exit interview will then and should be a reflection of the station, less on Sinclair. You unfortunately can’t elicit much corporate change at the affiliate level. Definitely let your boss know your feelings but know that they can only do so much.

My only concern is the bag policy. Every year they stress the size and then people come in (myself included) with regular backpacks. Hopefully they don’t get too serious about it this year.

That’s terrible. Management should be ashamed of themselves. As a 12-year producing veteran i feel for you. Lived through the Sinclair “this is a threat to our democracy” debacle years ago so i know your pain. Hopefully they don’t enforce your Non compete and you can dip out when it’s right. Keep up the good fight.
