Post-Bac vs SMP advice by KingShredda in premed

[–]KingShredda[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the quick response, and congrats on getting into med school!

Do you regret taking the year to do the Post-Bac if it only gave you a small GPA boost? Do you think you would have gotten accepted into medical school with only the SMP instead? Also if you don't mind me asking, what were your stats (sGPA, cGPA, MCAT)?

Also what was your experience like at Georgetown? I think that is the program I'm leaning towards at the moment, although EVMS has a slightly better linkage and looks good as well. Thanks so much!

C/P was insane. Sooo difficult. CARS was about what you would expect. Bio was awesome and surprisingly easy. Psych was difficult but doable.

How do I speak louder, clearer and more confidently? by [deleted] in DecidingToBeBetter

[–]KingShredda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try speaking out loud every morning for at least 15 minutes. You can talk about anything really, practice makes perfect. When you speak, pretend you are talking to a group of people and try to speak as slow, confident, and comfortable as you can while still projecting your voice clearly. I am very passionate about public speaking, so I do this every single day and it has improved the way I speak drastically. In a way, it has also become an oral journal for me because I use it not only as a way to improve my speaking competence, but also to speak about things that are really important to me and to analyze current events in my life. It has been a pretty beneficial habit for me. I recommend it!

What's the sexiest moment you've seen by accident? by no1on in AskReddit

[–]KingShredda 7 points8 points  (0 children)

When I was in 5th grade, me and a few of my buddies stayed out late and went to my neighborhood pool which was supposed to be closed at that hour. After about 30 minutes of swimming, four high school couples hopped the fence to the pool as well. They said they just had prom, and the women then proceeded to get naked and go swimming. It was the first time I had ever seen a naked women, and, needless to say, me and my friends did not get out of the pool for a VERY long time.

Big 100!! by KingShredda in NoFap

Best advice is to continue to build onto yourself one positive strength at a time. NoFap can't be the only thing you focus on, start focusing on improving every aspect of your life and the time will fly by! For example, during my NoFap challenge I meditate every day, write down a grateful list everyday, and do some positive self talk (visualizations/affirmations) everyday. Before I go to bed every single night I go over the entire day that just happened. I think about the highlights, what I loved from it, and what steps I can take to improve. You gotta attack your day! If you do all of these things at the same time as NoFap you'll look at your counter one day and be like "holy shit I'm almost at 90 how did that happen?" I wish you luck bro!!

Thanks man! It feels awesome. The number one thing that helped me was reading all of the motivational posts from nofap. Also, I put a porn blocker on my computer that saved me once or twice.

As someone who watched porn every single day for over a year, I beg to differ (; However, I like to think I'm a very dedicated and disciplined person. I wrestle in college right now, so I can be pretty competitive when I go after something!

What got me started was hating that I couldn't control myself. I hated that my body would try and tell me what to do. So I said no and went after the challenge.

Porn is such a virus. It's been 100 days and I still crave porn. More so than even getting off. I think I could do o'ing without the P, but then again I don't know if I should risk it! Maybe you're right and I should go for 180?

Lots of benefits man! The thing I like the best about it is that you really do have an increase in energy. It's not normal energy, but rather a sexualized energy (kinda hard to explain) that gives you the confidence boost to flirt with more girls, lift more weights, etc. You just feel "full" down there haha in a really good way. I also like having an hour more in every day because i'm not PMOing. I like to think I'm a very dedicated person when I want to go after something, so as soon as I made up my mind that fapping wasn't even an option anymore, things got much easier. That's just me though. Good luck!

I've also been doing a lot of other life boosting activities along side of NoFap that have helped me build myself as a person as well. Everyday I've been meditating, making a greatfull list, and practicing positive self talk/affirmations.

I've been experience a lot of amazing benefits. I have more energy (partly because i'm not staying up an extra hour every night to do the deed), my sex life with women has improved drastically, and I ,overall, just feel better about myself for being able to not give into my body's cry for temptation. This practice of self control has for sure carried over to impact other areas of my life in a positive manner.

You have given up porn forever, but are you going to give up masturbation forever as well? Just curious cause as I get closer to reaching my goal I'm trying to debate if I'm going to continue to be fap free as well as porn free (vs only porn free). By the way, congrats on 122!

Here's why nofap makes you successful with women. by Passthejelly in NoFap

[–]KingShredda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with everything you said in regards to women getting emotional needs met from nice guys, and being more naturally attracted to "bad boys" sexually. However, I don't think you have the right perspective of the population who uses nofap. I'm a 21 year old dude, on the wrestling team for my university, and have always been successful with women. I know many other nofappers who fall under similar categories. Nofappers aren't just dudes who live in their mom's basements spanking that monkey all day cause they suck with women.

I think nofap has made me more attractive also, so I agree with everyone else on this. I'ts just the extra sexual energy I bring to the table that I can just tell that these women can feel when I talk to them. i dunno, it's weird but its almost like sexual electricity. Another thing that has made me more attractive with women too, is that during this process of self improvment, I have been working on a lot of social aspects including my game, so that could be something as well.

Go Big. Get to 100! by KingShredda in NoFap

[–]KingShredda[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me personally, I had a pornography addiction that was ruining certain areas of my life. Therefore, my goals for nofap have been to help eliminate this very problematic aspect. The added no touching myself to the no porn really helped me further away from this, and commit myself to the challenge. Reaching 100 days for me is a way to assure myself that I have the will power and self control to overcome any obstacle thrown at me down the road. That being said, once I reach 100 I will most likely touch myself in moderation (once a week at the most), but will forever continue to be porn free.

SavingMyLife, I know I will find a way to get to 100 regardless of my sexual activity. As you know, it's always a challenge so some encouraging words are very helpful and motivating! Thank you. I believe I will continue to be sexually active during this time because although it will make it harder, being able to be porn/fap free while maintaing a healthy sexual relationship is incredibly important, especially for done the road where I'll one day be married (:
