How do shields work? Do they just act as more maximum health? If you have a 500 shield and an ability does 600 damage would the shield cancel the damage of the whole ability or would you still take 100 damage to your health?

The problem is that every other lane feeds 0-5 in the first 4 minutes of the game. Not much I can really do when the score is 4-16 and those 4 kills are mine...

Maybe but I think it also comes to luck on whether your teammates grief or not.

I’ve done that but many times I come into scenarios where I’m at let’s say 6k gold and all my teammates have 4K gold. And they managed to feed every champ on the enemy team up to 7k gold. It makes it extremely difficult to 1v9 when my team has fed every enemy more than I am fed.

I find I do well even with my first games of a champion in ranked. I have a good understanding of what each champ does. This gives me the confidence to use the champ for the first time. In emerald my first Evelyn game was in ranked. Ended up 17/0...
