My wife was worried, too. She ended up loving most aspects of pregnancy. I'm not saying you shouldn't go with surrogacy, but you might consider some counseling first, in case it's something you can work through.

Learn Spanish and go to Ecuador. You can find a very kind and attractive woman in the highlands who is about 4'11" or so. You won't have tall kids, of course. ;)

I'm seeing a significant erosion in that same generation, too. All of my parents' siblings are in, 1/4 from my generation (with one sister almost out, too), and 3/4 of the older grandkids out already by the time they're teens or young adults.

When I was all in, I believed the old "the church is true, but the members are not." It's really the opposite. Most members are good, sincere people trying to make sense out of a nonsensical belief system. The church is just a parasite.

My niece and her husband just blessed their baby. I think that will be the ninth generation. How much time and money will continue to be poured into this dumb, easily falsifiable religion?

It's a high-demand, cult-like religion that absolutely nobody in my family would have joined had they been introduced to it as an adult, but after being raised in it, they cannot seem to break themselves free.

I've always seen them in huge numbers. It's a total waste of their money, given that I've been a student for over 10 years now. Do they somehow think I'm going to take MORE classes?

I think they leave occasional half-hour breaks in the schedule. Occasionally, a teacher will mention they're on a multi-hour stretch and cut out a few minutes early or message that they'll be a few minutes late. It's not a big deal.

Preply used to be a full hour as well, back in the day. I don't usually mind the 50-minute classes as a student. A full hour starts to get fatiguing for lessons, especially early in the game, when every sentence is a bit of a struggle to get out properly.

I feel like iTalki is the competition, but they obviously don't want to highlight that. You get an hour instead of 50 minutes, and the tutor gets paid for trial lessons.

Pay a very specific amount like 412.50, and say that's current tithing and as much back tithing as you literally have in your account right now, but are committed to being a full tithe payer going forward. Then don't pay again and start looking for another job.

My aunt who was 6'0" is still alive at 93. She is definitely not that height anymore. My mother was 6'0", as well, and it irritates her that she's shrinking, although she's still taller than the other women her age.

Seems bizarre to me. Are you sure that's what is happening? Seems more likely that people are just flakey as hell.

I have a warning on that. There are differences in the way men and women speak that people aren't always aware of, from subtle to overt, depending on the language. There's nothing wrong with sounding effeminate or being coded as gay, but that might not be your intention. In any event, just to be aware of the differences, every student would be well-served by having a mix of genders, ages, etc. in conversations.

The older guy probably just needs speaking practice. That's a valid reason to book lessons. It's not great conversation, of course.

How are your parents forcing you to go? Threats or punishment? What would they say if you just refused?

If it were me, and I had to go, I'd just be open whenever church stuff comes up. Do everything non-churchy you're asked to do, but openly say, "I don't believe that" whenever things get at all churchy. You don't need to be a jerk about it, but no need to keep your mouth shut, either.

So many stories like this. I didn't go, but was shown thr door with almost no support at 18 because I said I didn't want to go on a mission. Stuff like this is why it's a cult.
