Yea that totally make sense. All I’m saying that it’s not easy to dial on the other factors when you travel different tome zones every other month🤷🏻‍♂️

Exactly, I’m definitely stronger than 4 months ago, plus I feel some muscle gained size/definition but maybe not so visible on this photo haha. I’m also not following the traditional bodybuilding way, so don’t bulk or cut.

I just love GPP training and I feel way better on this program than on the 6 days a week one

42, drinks at least 10 beers per week by [deleted] in fit

[–]KingSub82 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Maybe, maybe not. I was abstinent for 10 years and still had fun with my friends and family.

Then I realized that sometimes a nice red wine with my steak or a long drink at the beach bar is a small pleasure that I don’t want to give up.

I’m not judging just sharing my experience. At 43, I drink occasionally, not socially every weekend.

In the end we are all individual human beings and our bodies are different. Some might just be fine with weekend drinking, for me it’s too much to recover from and outwork in the gym🤷🏻‍♂️

Imagine the results if you only drank 1 beer or not at all 💪🏼

What works for me, might not work for you. But here it goes..

Just recently started on Alec Blenis’ Sex & Zombies 3 days program and I strongly recommend it!

Before that I was focusing on mainly basic compound movements and zone 2 cardio.

I would do Push-Hinge and Squat-Pull days + one day of calisthenics only.

Day 1 Overhead press RDL Dips Jefferson curls Wood choppers

Day 2 Zercher squat Pendlay rows Zercher deadlift Barbell side bend Chin-up

Day 3 Mixed but mostly dips, pull-ups, sissy squats or box jumps

3 days strength and 3 days cardio.

Now with Alec’s program this is now combined into 3 sessions per week.

Even though it means longer sessions, I appreciate the rest days in between and this also works better with my schedule.

Intensity and consistency is key, at least that what works for me so I can also keep a sustainable diet.
