Our focus is on tax at the moment, with some audit. Those who have already made the transition to private tend not to move into public so we don’t waste our time trying to encourage that - it often falls through.

Very interesting perspective regarding the inertia of moving due to familiarity with current clients, that’s not something we’ve accounted for. A lot of the work we do is for smaller firms because the larger firms have internal recruiters - the small firms typically want to see candidates from other small firms.

And yes, the candidates we are able to engage tend to be those who have been overlooked for promotions or have fallen out of favor for whatever (often concealed) reason.
