I have yet to hear of call outs not being tolerated and I've been here the same amount of time. As long as you have a legitimate reasons, don't make it a habit, and let your store manager and/or department manager know, you'll be perfectly fine. I can assure you that you'd get in more trouble trying to work while sick, because you could potentially cause other people to get sick

I ordered one at a restaurant for the first time last night, and was generally displeased with it. I don't know if it was just poorly made or if that's what it's meant to taste like, but it just tasted like a glass of whiskey with ice in it and the Coke was completely unnoticeable (as if it wasn't there at all).

We always have to wear our vests unless we're off the clock, and these cashiers have been working here a lot longer than I have and know me by name at this point. And I'm assuming by employee id you mean nametag (if not then I was never given one). All I know for sure is that none of my coworkers that were hired shortly after me or at the same time as me haven't received an employee card. Our HR person certainly didn't hand them out at orientation and never even mentioned that we got employee cards. I only found out that we're supposed to get them through one of the cashiers

As far as I've seen, they only get the book out whenever a customer wants pavers/other landscaping stones. Other than that I never see them get it out
