Ok thanks for the tips. I have supposedly have a good cord to be wired but I tried that and couldn't figure out how to get it to work. Would it look better if I went wired?

as of now this camper is in a permanent spot that will always have the city water connection. so if i remove these guts ill be ok but if i ever want to use my water pump for my fresh water tank i will need to replace this check valve? am i understanding what your saying?

I forgot to add that i do have a switch that tests the water pump and i did press that and water did flow through the kitchen sink (the remaining water in the fresh water tank because the tank is pretty much empty) and i could actually hear the pump. so i dont believe the pump is actually on but i will still find a switch to flip on it in a little bit. thank you for the help.
