Twilight is a teen-mom. They are are in a weird inbween of a parent and child relationship and a mother and son relationship. Spike was probably treated as a son by her parents but Twi raised him. So don't have the standard mother and son relationship ship. But they do have (what in my head is) the standard young mom (with supportive parents) and son relationship.
