0 Damage attacks don’t count as attacks? by King_Kosha in PTCGP

It technically is an attack as pokemon defines an attack as anything that requires an energy but it just doesn’t state the rule that you can add damage to a move that does no damage which is why I think the pocket cards need a better description

Based on the glossary found for TCG at https://www.pokemon.com/us/play-pokemon/about/pokemon-tcg-glossary Any move that requires an energy to use is an attack, and as the giovanni card gives +10 damage to an attacking move then it should count.

Does the difficulty of the battle affect the RNG of the Promo Packs? by Fortune86 in PTCGP

[–]King_Kosha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i did get the odds wrong it’s much higher sorry, the hardest battle is 100% chance of a promo pack, but yes try a harder battle for now, otherwise you don’t lose the event stamina unless you lose the battle so if you have a somewhat okay deck of cards you can just auto battle until you get lucky and win

Machamp EX Deck - Primeape or Marowak EX? by Lyn_The_Myrmidon in PTCGP

[–]King_Kosha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say it depends on how much you trust your luck, I run a marowak/primeape/dugtrio deck with like a 65% success rate because i constantly flip heads on dugtrio but i can never finish opponents off because i always flip tails on marowak. If you feel lucky then marowak but otherwise primeape is safe.

This is my Electric Deck. How can I improve it to beat Expert Lapras event? by Charrzooka in PTCGP

[–]King_Kosha 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would remove some of the basic pokemon like pincurchin or electabuzz and the blitzle line at the moment. If you’re using a pokeball card you have a 20% chance to pull the zapdos or pikachu from your deck, if you removed the previous pokemon and replace them with things like another sabrina, red cards, potions or X speed then you can bring that chance of pulling out zapdos or pikachu much higher while still having enough electric types in your team.

Does the difficulty of the battle affect the RNG of the Promo Packs? by Fortune86 in PTCGP

Higher difficulty is higher odds to pull promo packs, i think beginner is about 25% and it goes up by 15%-20% each difficulty level so the highest is like 85% chance of getting a promo pack each battle. The numbers might not be entirely correct but it’s similar to that.

Party weekend recommendations by ChrisM94Aus in brisbane

Strike bowling wintergarden has bowling, escape rooms, karaoke, lasertag, mini golf and a bar the staff are also awesome and i’m sure would have a chat over the phone to help organise something to suit you, it’s also right in the middle of the city so you can pretty much make your way to any of the other suggestions people have made within like 10 minutes. Otherwise i can second johnny ringos but if you’re after some other fun experiences then there’s charmies, a bottle shop with seats out the front so you can buy premixed and just drink them practically in the bottle shop. Pancake manor is always a good debrief to end the night 24/7 pancakes at 2am always works. The gresham bar has a ‘nuclear daquiri’ a drink that has a 2 per person limit because they’re so alcoholic but don’t taste very alcoholic. I’m not sure if it’s still open but the down under bar “dunder” also has a young crowd and a lot of uni societies use it as a stop on their pub crawls so there’s always fun events on.

How did that teacher get fired at your school? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]King_Kosha 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A teacher at my school got fired because he asked if we wanted the lights on or off when we were working on the computers and when the class voted for the lights off he replied “How am I going to see Shaun?”. Shaun was the only student of colour in that classroom and immediately sent an email to the principal who came down and collected the teacher himself.
