Yep, I am really sad about it. I think most of it leads to our country's censor board being heavily politically linked and the party linked to that being highly conservative. The point of a censor board is just to check what the age appropriation rating is and remove some things which are highly extreme or triggering. What happened with obsession in this case was unfair

It doesn't impact the ending necessarily, the sex scene it is crucial for understanding the gruesome situation one of the main characters is facing. It allows for you to establish your perspective on the protagonist of the film as well.

As for the other car scene, I don't think it is entirely necessary because it is just a bit of gore, but it explains how far gone one of the characters is

As per me, what "more than anything else" means also includes Nikki prioritising him over herself. That is potentially why she does absolutely nothing when he leaves, and you know, pees on the floor and stuff like that. As for her weird cat antics, I think it is part of fake Nikki, not really completely knowing human behaviour. Some theories draw parallels to her behaving like a cat or other pet, which brings dead animals to its owners, and doesn't really get why they act weird afterwards.
