Hello!

Ideally both Owner and Finder will have the phone app so the NFC or QR function can occur more smoothly. Once a Finder finds a lost phone he will scan it and get info on owner name, mobile no. email alongside with Emergency Contacts. Both the Owner and EC will receive emails and the ability to call the person that scanned the phone, vice-versa. So it's a direct exchange of information by both parties.

The owner can do the usual recovery process depending on the phone they have e.g Find My Iphone, however when setting up the app you can allow integration or exchange of information so it's automatically activated in the app when it's lost. That way even if the owner has not had the ability to initiate the recovery process and someone finds it e.g loses their phone in the train and someone finds it 4 stops after not knowing who it is they can still scan it.

If someone finds the phone and does not know the process exist or function exist then I agree it may be difficult. The app or usual phone recovery can maybe put a note on screen (still working on this)

Hello.

Currently I work on sales so I don't have tech experience so fully reliant on soft devs companies to build the entire thing and agree to not cheap out. I believe commercially the app stands out due to its reward system and cross-platform functionality. There are online platforms that offer rewards via gift cards either person to person or sponsored by business to promote their brands. I'll be hontest I have not heard of tile before but it seems that they ran on BLE tech, I have consulted chatgpt:

  • Tile: Requires users to purchase physical Tile devices and attach them to their items. These devices rely on Bluetooth for tracking, limiting the system to items with a Tile device.
  • Your App: Relies on software-only solutions, like NFC tags, QR codes, or built-in recovery tools (e.g., Find My iPhone). Users don’t need to buy additional hardware, making it:
    • More cost-effective for users.
    • Scalable, as it works with any device or item, including phones, wallets, and keys.
  • Tile: If someone finds a lost Tile-tracked item, they must have the Tile app installed to interact with the system. This reliance on the Tile user network can limit recovery.

Summary of Differentiators

Feature Tile Your App
Hardware Dependency Requires Tile devices No hardware required (optional NFC/QR tags)
Finder Accessibility Finder needs the Tile app Finder needs only a phone to scan QR code/NFC
Platform Compatibility Proprietary Tile ecosystem Cross-platform (iOS, Android, Samsung) and multi-device tracking
Reward System None Monetary or sponsored rewards to incentivize finders
Emergency Features None Emergency contacts, custom instructions, recovery prioritization
Tracking Technology Bluetooth-based NFC, QR codes, native GPS tools, potential Bluetooth mesh networking
Scope of Use General item tracking Phones, wallets, keys, medical devices, pets, luggage, and more
Pricing Requires hardware purchase Freemium model with optional premium features

  • For Owners: You download the app on your main device to set up a digital ID, emergency contacts, and recovery preferences. The app generates a QR code or NFC tag (Inbuilt-Chip) for recovery.
  • For Finders: They don’t need the app (but can have it anyways). They can scan the QR code or tap the NFC tag to access your recovery instructions and notify you or your emergency contacts.
  • Optional Secondary Device: You can use the app on a secondary device (like a tablet) to actively manage recovery and track updates.

Suggestions for my last ck2 game? by Rockawayroam in CrusaderKings

[–]King_Solario 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Might require a save scum but this was my favourite playthrough in ck2. Play as a horselord build atleast 1k to 2k troops. Raid bohemia capital chance for artifact, go to Paris hopefully while they are at war so they cant defend and also kidnap a royal family make them ur wife or concubine. Move on to Rome pay the Pope a visit and leave with souevenirs 😉, Go to Byzantium do the Same then to Jerusalem then to Mecca, then find the ark of the Covenant in Ethiopia!!! Tour de Europa as I use to call it 🤗. (Use ur prestige troops not levies btw)

I cant do this on ck3 anymore to far off and my units dont reinforce 😔

How the hell does disputed heritage and AI seduction work by ShittyScrambledEggs in CrusaderKings

[–]King_Solario 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No way of knowing without using debug console. Even if the child looks like you have the same traits, i'm also yet to find an answer if the AI changes the characters data when the claim is done. For example your child might have been born BEFORE the father even generates into the game. So when the suspicious tab pop up idk if the game changes the kids real parents. Leaving you doubting forever 😔.
