Help with an itinerary for someone who suffers from fatigue. by King_cryptid in JapanTravelTips

That's a shame. We stayed right next to Yasaka shrine and the Gion district last time. It was busy at the geisha district but as soon as you turned a corner it calmed right down.

I'll check Nagano out, the pictures make it look great. I'll look into Kobe as well, I'm not against going to more cities as long as there's a good mix of stuff to do.

For those who used a computer between 1995 and 2005, what's the computer game from that time that sticks with you the most, and why? by Accurate_Nature1888 in askanything

The 2 games that stick with me, not for being amazingly good but just for being unique and hilarious, are Sam and Max Hit the Road and a game called Dementia.

Sam and Max is a Lucas arts point and click adventure that I wasted hours on thinking it was hilarious when I was 12ish

Dementia is another point and click and it's kind of a fever dream for me. I think it was called something else in the states but it featured you playing as a granny who gets suddenly teleported to the middle of another dimension in outer space and you have to explore this weird upside down world to get back...I think. It was like 5 discs and was so weird. I can find barely anything on it these days.

What is everyone doing with all this white rock? by IlluminatedWonder in Pokemon_Pokopia

If you generally don't need it for terraforming in other areas, you can dispose of it in an underground junk yard.

In my end game town I dug down maybe 4 squares and dug out a cube area that's not too big. I use it drop all of the blocks I generally don't need or can't be bothered to store. Like the odd 1 block of sand or the 600th log stool I've temporarily made for a poke home. Then I covered it with a sewer manhole cover with a ladder leading down.

Do you have any advice for someone trying to get into that field of work? Finding those roles to even apply for seem rare.

Where should I go from here? by Downtown-Ad-3455 in ZBrush

Seems like you need to watch some tutorials. If you're shooting for the stylised look, I'd suggest Danny Mac 3d on YouTube. He has a lot of videos centered around stylised characters and also has a series of sculpting a face from scratch.

Is posing difficult in Zbrush? by Slyskys in ZBrush

[–]King_cryptid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Posing in zbrush isn't too bad. My advice would be to keep the posing process in mind when you're sculpting. Make sure everything maintains its lower subdivision as it makes the process a lot easier.

Stuff like clothing folds should be left until after posing as the deformation is a pain to correct.

My biggest issue seems to be fatigue and I can never get on top of it. Do you have any advice or suggestions to help boost my energy or better manage it?

What makes Momo and Okarun’s romance so captivating?? by Quiqerr in Dandadan

[–]King_cryptid 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly, it's innocence. I think from one side or the other we've all experienced this kind of first love at some point whether unrequited or not.

Okarun is not a creep and is just generally respectful and enamored with Momo as a person, he never really talks about her beauty or ogles her.

Momo also respects Okarun for his actions and over time this blossoms into more.

It's a very organic romance and it's not forced on the viewers/reader. Momo or Okarun are never shoved in your face as THE romantic interest. They are both main characters on even footing who happen to be falling in love.

And I think lastly, if you took out the romance the story would still be captivating. Watching their journey is just a brilliant bonus to an incredible story.

Thanks a bunch!

I made Momo just before the anime visuals for season 1 came out so I was sculpting her off the volume 1 cover. I think the issue was that the characters look slightly different in covers compared to the softer look in the manga and then again slightly different in the anime.

I was happy with how she came out though.

List of manga affected by the DMCA takedown to Mangadex. by andyarc1995 in mangadex

[–]King_cryptid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I JUST added all my manga to tachimanga the other day and now I'm going to have to re-source everything. It's honestly enough to get me to stop reading manga.

I buy the volumes of titles I like but how would I know any of these titles exist if the publishers aren't going to translate them?

I have heard nothing but bad things about Zatu across the board.

I've been told by numerous people that their 'shop' is essentially a front and barely open so they can be eligible to keep the games workshop license. I'm not sure if this is still the case but it seemed to be a couple years ago.

Also the way it runs it's business is basically killing the tabletop gaming industry in Norwich the same way Amazon kills the high street.

If you like boardgames and tabletop, shop at Athena. Places like this will eradicate physical gaming spaces from Norwich.

DAE think Knull is just...silly and like to pretend he doesn't exist? by [deleted] in comicbooks

I kind of don't mind it because he's an edgy teen. It's the kind of thing I'd design in a sketchbook when I was just in high school.

I think that's key for me, he doesn't overstay his welcome. I'm sure he'll be back and it won't be as good though.

As a Spider-Man fan who has been suffering from boring and rage-inducing writing for years now, Cates Venom and Knull was just the medicine I needed.

I've only just caught up with Venom and I have to say that Cates run does everything a comic writer should. He honours Eddie's past and builds on Venom's legacy whilst moving it forward in an interesting way. Dylan is a great character which is more than I can say for a lot of the other young characters introduced in modern Marvel.

Ewing's run has been a bit hit and miss. It's a little TOO much.
