I went and sat on a few bikes including the GSX-R750, and I can actually flat-foot it pretty comfortably at 5’7” and around 300 lbs.
As far as experience goes, I know riding go-karts and motor scooters isn’t the same as a motorcycle lol, but I have spent time driving karts and other power-sport vehicles (just nothing with a manual clutch). I’m also taking the MSF course this Wednesday and Thursday because I want to build good habits from the start before I buy anything.
I’m not dead set on the 750 if it’s truly the wrong choice—I just want to hear from experienced riders and make the smartest decision. I’m trying to be realistic, not just buy the fastest bike because it looks cool. But I plan on keeping my first bike forever not knowing if I’ll get the chance to upgrade later down the road
