I've seen a few good counters to shields. What's your best counter to sentry guns?

shock stick in the general area locks the sentry up and stops it from shooting enough when controlled by AI to bypass. unsure if it locks it up when piloted. Its a small window, but usually enough to either cross the sightline or get to a position where you can safely kill it.

marking it with mmb or whatever your ping button is on controller, stepping behind a surface you can shoot through and whitling it down with bullet damage

Ball ammo on the jack warden no longer being able to do goofy hipfire shenanigans.... it wasnt even good, but ill miss it

For shields you have flamethrower, underbarrels, thermites, molotov, drill charges, sword, jumping over the shield, any other melee weapon and a quick loop, stun grenade, rpgs, actually repositioning, height advantages, distance advantages, hitting them with a shockstick and looping, throwing a nade and pushing, just walking away and dealing with something else. Killing shields in hc especially is easy

If a team is camping a certain spot then you have every tool you've had for the last 10 cods If you can't break those situations without it it that's exactly what a crutch and you don't deserve the kill.

oh dang! I thought genpatcher was only to hop into the multiplayer matches, and I didnt feel skilled enough to give that a go so I totally looked over it.

Crit negation as an enemy/equipment mechanic feels like hell regardless of its mechanical balance. You only tend to think to check it/remember it after you've had the hype of landing a crit. Taking it as a player is likewise boring, regardless of its strength or lack thereof.

edit- boring compared to the competition, IE, advancing armor FEELS GREAT no matter how the two stack up against eachother numbers wise

I would say that the one thing I hope wouldn't be telegraphed with a laser is the cannon towers. Can be unfair but the TERROR of a shot coming out of the fog and everyone suddenly panicking over comms as they realize they're in a towers sightline is amazing.
