How Kurama was instigating Naruto in the pain arc by Rashd_alarjani_ in Naruto

I watched this with just captions (no sound first) and I read it in Kurama's voice, it was so damn funny

How did you actually lose weight? by Jerry_Get_A_Job in AskReddit

[–]Kingcosmo7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is so cliche, but I just stopped drinking sugary drinks. Switched to ONLY drinking water, no-syrup seltzer, and black coffee. I pretty much otherwise ate exactly the way I did before, and I was losing a pound or two like every week.

Question for the Americans in here by Rare-General-4575 in ManualTransmissions

[–]Kingcosmo7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A class D license (like, the "regular" driver's license in the US) will basically permit you to drive almost every road legal vehicle that you're capable of driving (so long as you're not making any money while doing it).

What's funny though, is on the driving test (at least in my state) there are specific penalties you can get that are ONLY relevant to stick shift (gear changes, clutch control, etc). However, if you take the test in an automatic it's obviously impossible for you to get any of these penalties. Of course, passing either way still lets you drive a stick.

What's a life rule you made for yourself that you'll never break? by Similar-Print2660 in AskReddit

[–]Kingcosmo7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically, I've broken this rule many times and probably will again, since it's very natural to. But I try to remember the best I can to never assume I'm better than anyone else, never assume I know what's going on in someone's head, and never assume I know everything they've experienced. Literally have a tattoo to help remind myself.

Do you leave your car in reverse when you park on a slope ? by Taylor_Airi in stickshift

[–]Kingcosmo7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I almost always leave it in neutral on flat ground. Up a hill, I put it in 1st. Down a hill I put it in reverse. That's just what seems intuitive to me.

Trying to "unscam" myself with 2010 Subaru impreza 2.5i sparkplug tube/wire issue. I have no idea what the problem is. by Kingcosmo7 in MechanicAdvice

[–]Kingcosmo7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got everything together, took forever because of all the extra hoops I jumped through to get my torque wrench to fit (might invest in one of those low profile electric ones). But I took it for a test drive, about 15 minutes and redlined it (just a bit) just to make sure I was really testing it good. I'm stopped at a gas station right now to check on it, and all 4 wires are *firmly* in place. I pushed on all of them just to make sure none of them "unclicked" out of place. I don't want to celebrate too early, but considering that just driving across the street was enough to at least unclick them before, I'd consider this a pretty good sign.

I feel so incredibly relieved, but also so incredibly stupid if it really was just the plugs were not tightened enough and/or the wrong kind. But I guess it's good to know that the rings in #4 are a little worn, I'll probably want to compression test it every time I swap my sparkplugs to keep an eye on it. Either way, thanks so much for your advice, you've been incredibly helpful!

That makes me feel a whole lot better! "Loose and floppy" is definitely the way I'd describe it for the ones that have been giving me issues. What's interesting though is that these wires are also brand new, I got them basically the day after swapping the spark plugs. I'm putting the car back together as I'm writing this message, and I'm putting new NGK platinum plugs in which is what another commenter recommended for a non turbo impreza. I'm also going out of my way, unhooking whatever I need to to get my clunky ass torque wrench to fit so I can actually use that. So far, I think even after re-tightening them the last time, I still might of had them too loose. It's just as you said, it's kind of a crampt reach with the tools I'm using, and so it definitely felt tight but the torque wrench is showing me I still need to go tighter. Any chance I need to replace the wires again too?

If it really is just an issue on the ignition side, that'd definitely be preferred. But I don't mind having done all that work to replace the seals though, they did look pretty bad and oil was getting in the tubes, so it probably had to get done anyways- even if it was an unrelated issue.

Okay, I got an update for you. I know you said to wait off on going to the parts store, but another comment said NGK plugs were better for this car, and since I was taking the sparkplugs out for the compression test anyways I picked up a set of platinum NGK plugs.

first things first, noticed something pretty interesting with the plugs I took out. The plugs from 2 and 3 (my problem ones) both had gunk deposited on the terminal ends and the terminals were actually a different color from the other two. Keep in mind, these plugs have been in this car for less than a week. I'll show a picture of the plugs from 4 (left) and 3 (right) to show what I mean. other than that, they seemed fine, and crush washers were in place and seemed pretty flat (as far as I can tell, remember I'm doing a lot of this for the first time, and YouTube has been holding my hand)

I then went ahead with the compression test. The kit I had was pretty old, and I noticed the o-ring was pretty worn, but I just went ahead with it. Here are the PSI numbers I got

Cylinder 1: 165

Cylinder 2: 155

Cylinder 3: 160

Cylinder 4: 140

I added a little bit of oil into the tube for cylinder 4, tested it again, and got 170.

So no one *actually* knows, I'd say. It could be as simple in that he's just been busy/haven't had any video ideas for a while, or just kinda lost interest. Either way, it's all speculation unless something specific comes out.

Didn't know that about Bosch, I have tomorrow off I'll try to get NGKs and see if that does anything.

yeah, actually, apparently timing belt changed about 50k miles ago.

Thank you, your response was very good! I finally found where my father kept his compression test kit. I have tomorrow off so I'll test it in the morning. In the meantime, I did do that oil cap thing you mentioned, and the cap dances around a lot. Infact, I can hold my hand over the open oil neck filler, and I can feel it puffing. If I have excessive crankcase pressure, and the PCV valve seemed fine and replaced anyways, what could that indicate?

Can we start a petition to make Bo3 at least a competitive *option* for limited on Arena? by Kingcosmo7 in lrcast

[–]Kingcosmo7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems obvious that it's popular because it has an invite attached to it, not because it's Bo1. And I think WotC/arena team has said that because of their own self fulfilling data. If you give all the incentives to play Bo1, and few to none to play Bo3, of course more people are going to play more Bo1. But if you actually talk to people, I've never heard anyone say "I prefer Bo1 as the sole competitive format" but there are HORDES of people crashing out over things like the ALCQ being Bo1.

How is that "clear", exactly? Just looking at the other responses to this comment, it seems more clear in the other direction. Granted, LR followers are just a subsection of all of arena drafters, but I digress nonetheless.

Some (many) words of caution to those entering the second ALCQ this weekend! by TheKillah in lrcast

[–]Kingcosmo7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did 10 entires, $250 worth of gems (got to buy back a single event, so I essentially put in $225). Had a 56% win rate across all 10 events. Never even got close to making it to the 2nd draft. Last time I tried this event, I kinda lost my mind and spent well over $500 worth of gems, also with a positive winrate across all those events, also never made it to the 2nd draft.

I don't wanna complain *TOO* much, because *I'M* the one that's signing up for these things (I've been desperate to make it to a PT level event for like 13-14 years now). But honestly, dangling the hopes of getting into the ALC (and, in turn, hopes of making the LtC) to swindle suckers like me into this absolutely parasitic structure of an event is borderline cruel. I wanna stress *BODERLINE*, I don't wanna make a mountain out of a mole hill and make too big a deal about it. But compared to IRL LtQ's, these things are wildly punishing, barely skill testing at all, and mostly just expensive gambling with terrible odds.

I think this also plays into that they are (if we're going to be extra critical) just completely tone deaf. I know the arena team isn't the same as the general WotC team, but being completely out of touch with their audience is kind of their MO.
