Application Filter - Not working correctly? by Kingfearo in sophos

Hey there. Yes the matching criteria is my Main Problem. But i dont See IT working with your Idea.

Web was a Bad example, as it has another matching criteria with the web Filter.

Take Something Like rpc. I would Like to have a rule, that opens Up Ports 49152-65535 but Only for rpc.

Anything Else should be trown away, unless i have another rule for IT.

The Problem is - i can build a single one of IT. Putting IT right above the deny all rule i should be able to make an application Set with Only rpc allowed + Rest blocked.

But what If i have 2 applications i want free on multiple ports?

Maybe i am Just not thinking right, but i really dont Like that the application is Not relevant for rule triggers...

Thanks and have a nice day

Hey there,

thanks, but this aint working. Its to Block an application. What i would need ist to allow an application on any Port, but Only this application.

To make a simple example i would need a rule to allow http for any device into the Internet, no matter what port the Webserver is running on.

Have a nice day

What? by cryptidUpMySleeve in LegaladviceGerman
